Something for the weekend on PokerStars

It's the weekend again, complete with your PokerStars to do list...

To play

The weekend promises are the usual distractions. The weekend majors will play on in the same way. Last weekend Russian player Arten "veeea" Vezhenkov" won the Sunday Million, collecting $183,675. You can do this same yourself this weekend, with satellites running now for that and other events over the next two days. We'll have the full round up of results on Monday.

If you're looking for live action then the UKIPT Edinburgh festival has plenty. The Main Event is now into Day 1B but there's still action to be had in a full roster of side events.

Our Spin and Go's continue to turn ordinary prize pools into edge of your seat thrillers. You can still win up to $1 million in our promotion. Six players have won the top prize since our one year anniversary celebrations began more than a month ago. Give it a try. Buy in's start at as little as $0.50.

To read

If you're looking for reading material this weekend, check out our live coverage of the UKIPT Edinburgh festival. The Main Event got under way yesterday, with Day 1B playing out today. Things will come to a conclusion this weekend with a final table on Sunday. Last time the tour was in Edinburgh Dean Hutchison defeated Team PokerStars Pro Liv Boeree heads up in a thriller.

Follow all the updates from Edinburgh on our live coverage page.

As well as that you can re-live the Asia Championship of Poker which concluded last weekend. First prize in the main event was HK$5,885,000 (US$760,000), with a total prize pool of HK$17,648,000. See how it all played out here.

To hear

It's podcast time again. As always it's best letting the team do the talking ...

EPT Not Live Episode 27

"Please bear this in mind as you listen to the podcast: Joe isn't wearing any underwear. Yep, he's without pants. But, despite this affliction, the hairy American is on fine form, ranting about idiocy on social media, and the trials and tribulations associated with taking money out of your bank account. Meanwhile, in TV land, it seems Gaelle Garcia Diaz delighted viewers with her performance on 'Shark Cage'. So, she joins the guys to discuss the latest episode, and reveals that her dog has a rather unfortunate medical condition. James gives the lowdown on the EPT Prague freeroll schedule and the PokerStars Christmas Festival. And 'Superfan vs Stapes' turns into a total nerd-fest (as usual), as Dave Goodger goes head-to-head against Joe in a game of Marvel Cinematic Universe trivia. Please note: #EPTNotLive returns on Thursday 3rd December."

To be thankful for

PokerStars' and Full Tilt's corporate giving programme, 'Helping Hands', announced it had extended its partnership with Right to Play for a further 12 months, donating another £300,000 towards training 2,500 volunteer coaches around the world. It's a partnership we're happy to highlight. Read the full details here.
