Tune in with the new Play Along app
You've probably already inked into your diary the next edition of the European Poker Tour on Channel Four. I know we have. But if you didn't already have a reason to tune in tonight at midnight (to those in the UK), the creative people at PokerStars have produced one for you, in the form of a new app that allows you to play along.
Conveniently it's called the Poker Play Along app, which from today you can find in the same place you usually buy apps, available on iOS and Android devices (be sure to allow push notifications).
For the first time you can take part in the decision making process as it takes place on the screen. No more yelling at the screen insisting that a player you've never seen before in your life should call that obvious bluff. Now you can make that decision for yourself, and earn prizes for it too, regardless of what transpires on screen.
What's more none of this will cost you a penny, and your results (you earn chips for each correct decision and lose them for the incorrect ones) could earn you real money prizes, with seats to be won in the Weekly Play Along Freeroll, with real cash prize pool of $500 up for grabs.
It's a great app (we tried it this afternoon) and really easy to use. Once you launch the app you'll find a clock ticking down to the next broadcast, which luck would have it is now (at the time of writing) about nine hours away. But you can log into the app at any time, even during the broadcast. The app will automatically sync to the EPT show you're watching and allow you to see how your decisions compare with some of the top pros.
So if you're ready, download the app now and play for free on any iOS or Android device. And regardless, check out a great show on Channel Four later tonight.
