Weekend Planner: Manila, Futebol, KidPoker

It's PokerStars all over the world this weekend.

This Friday's weekend planner takes you from Asia, to Brazil, to the red carpet, and back to online where you can make some real cash.

Need something to do over the next couple of days? Here are some options.

APPT Manila

The APPT Manila Main Event kicked off a couple of days ago, and over the weekend the players will be working their way toward a champion.

We have Marc Convey and Brad Kain on the ground in the Philippines, and they will be providing live updates all the way down to the last river.

You can follow all their coverage here: APPT Manila live updates.

Make some money

If you missed the announcement earlier this week, PokerStars is running two promotions that could put some extra cash in your pocket before the end of the summer.

Included in the promotions are $30 worth of freeplay for new depositors. That promo could also get you a ticket to a monster $1 million freeroll.

If you are not a new depositor, you still have a chance to make some good cash in the brand new Jacks or Better Challenge.

Watch Kid Poker play futebol

Straight up honesty here: there is a lot about this video I don't understand. First of all, it's all in Portuguese, which aside from saying thank you and ordering a beer, I don't speak. Second, at one point, I think there is a Christmas carol playing as the background music. Third...well, you get the point.

Nevertheless, you get to see Andre Akkari and Daniel Negreanu on the indoor pitch, and that is entertaining even if "Deck the Halls" isn't playing in the background.

Speaking of Kid Poker...

The Daniel Negreanu documentary has been playing on Netflix for about two months now, and the reviews from fans have been...well, in some cases, tearful.

Here's the trailer if you haven't seen it.

Have a great weekend!
