Kevin Hart ups the #GameOn ante by following Usain Bolt to Monaco

Fierce competitors create fierce rivalries. You only have to look at the recent insult-slinging matches between 'The Notorious' Conor McGregor and Floyd 'Money' Mayweather in the build-up to their fight to see how heated things can get.

In the NBA, Michael Jordan is considered the best trash-talker and psych-out artist in NBA history. The stories of the Chicago Bulls star's competitiveness are the stuff of legend: from ensuring his rival Isiah Thomas wasn't chosen for the 1992 Olympic Dream Team; to taking another rival, Charles Barkley, golfing the day before Game 4 of the finals, claiming "Charles thinks we're great friends. He won't get in my way the rest of the series."

Speaking of basketball, it was at the 2013 NBA All Star Celebrity Game that another fierce rivalry was first formed. One was one of Hollywood's biggest stars, the other the fastest man on the planet.

Now, unless you've been living under a social media rock the past few weeks, you'll have noticed that Kevin Hart and Usain Bolt have taken this feud to their Twitters, Facebooks and Instagrams. They've even given their battle a name: #GameOn.

It's being called the biggest social media battle of the year, as the pair aim to outsmart one another, using their wits and trolling skills. The metrics of their social media channels are the scorecards, allowing fans to decide who wins each battle.

They'll then come face to face at the PokerStars Championship Bahamas in January 2018, playing heads-up for all the marbles.

Here's an example from both Hart and Bolt:

Upping the ante in Monaco

Things got a bit more serious this week. While Usain Bolt was in Monte Carlo, Monaco, preparing to race his penultimate 100m at the IAAF Diamond League event Friday night (21 July), a certain funnyman was spotted following him around.

And invaded the race track...

Of course, this is Usain Bolt we're talking about. None of Kevin Hart's antics fazed him, as he went on to win the race with a time of 9.95 seconds.

But there was still time to crash one more interview...

PokerStars Blog spoke to Usain Bolt after the race, which you can check out here.

What do you guys think? Has Kevin Hart raised the bar with these shenanigans? Or does Bolt's ability to not be fazed give him the upper hand?
