Ultra satellite sends another 100 players to the PCA
Okay, so it turns out we're not in the habit of $500,000 overlays after all.
Yesterday we ran our second PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Ultra satellite, bumping up even further the number of players heading to the PCA in January - an event we plan on making the most memorable incarnation of the annual Caribbean classic ever staged.
With more than 3,000 runners last night we're happy (all right... and relieved) to report that another 100 players won packages to the Bahamas, bringing the total number of qualifiers from all over the world (including New Jersey) to 260 players.
Because we're not stopping there. With nearly two months still to go before the first event of the PCA schedule we're running satellites around the clock.
And if you're thinking that all of this is out of reach - that packages worth $15,000, including Main Event seat, flights, accommodation and sending money -- are somehow exclusive to the experienced players with big bankrolls, then consider these guys for a second...
Each earned their package to the Bahamas for a single dollar, and will now board a plane in the New Year to line up alongside the likes of Daniel Negreanu, Andre Akkari, and other members of Team PokerStars, in a Main Event that already has a prize pool guarantee of $3.9 million.
So, no repeat overly, which eased the existential load on our backroom satellite team who a few weeks ago had (their faces contorted in horror) an altogether different Ultra experience.
Thanks for making it a different story yesterday. And if you weren't successful this time around there are plenty of satellites between now and January in which to win a package to what will be the ideal place to kick off your new poker year.
Find details of that in the PokerStars lobby, and on the PokerStars Live homepage.
