Poker in The Ears

"In the last seven days, James survived surgery and Joe coped with cupping, so the boys are on hand to break down hands from the latest episode of #PSCMonteCarlo (now available to watch at channel4.com/poker in the UK & Ireland, and on PokerStars.tv in the rest of the world). They also discuss the book 'He Played For His Wife And Other Stories', a collection of poker-themed tales from writers such as Jennifer Tilly, James McManus and Patrick Marber. Barny Boatman also contributed a story, and is this week's guest. He talks about writing 'Drawing Dead', and his long, distinguished career as a poker player and ambassador.

"Finally, regular #PokerStarsTV viewer James Martin (aka: Undersea Monkey) competes for prizes by answering questions about 'The West Wing' in 'Superfan vs Stapes'. Please don't forget to rate, review and subscribe to #PokerInTheEars."

London to host first PokerStars Festival of the New Year

Speaking of PokerStars Festivals, today we announced details of the first to take place in 2018.

The Hippodrome in London's West End will once again play host, the place where last year 944 players set a record, and a prize pool of more than £824,000.

This year we plan on more of the same, details of which you can find here.

High Roller Series

There's a new tournament promotion coming up on PokerStars. Who is it aimed at? Well the name might be a bit of a giveaway there.

"High Rollers", runs from November 26 to December 4, with buy-ins ranging from $1,050 to $10,300 and more than $10 million guaranteed. A mixture of hold'em and Omaha events are planned, although the lab guys in the basement somewhere around here might yet add others, so stay tuned.

It culminates on December 3 with a $2,100 Main Event, with $2 million guaranteed. You can find this event in the PokerStars Tournament lobby.
