Ultra satellites add another 100 players to the PCA Main Event

Last weekend our second PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Ultra satellite took place, the result being another 100 players winning packages to the Bahamas in January.

As a reminder, and maybe a motivator to those wondering whether to play any of the multitude of satellites available in the tournament lobby, each package is worth nearly $16,000 and includes Main Event seat, accommodation at the Atlantis Resort, flights to the Bahamas, and spending money for when you get there. Not a bad deal.

For that, and everything else related to the PCA, go to the PokerStarsLive homepage.

Aditya Kumar on an incredible weekend

One of those package winners was Aditya Kumar from India, who not only won a package, but managed to do so for free, absolutely nothing, and in the space of two days.

Last Saturday he won a satellite ticket on Twitter. Then, 24 hours later, he turned that into a PCA package, which he told us in an interview for the Blog this week. It's a great story, and not at all unique.

The leatest episode of Poker in The Ears

"James and Joe discuss the latest episode of #PSCMonteCarlo (now available to watch at channel4.com/poker in the UK & Ireland, and on PokerStars.tv in the rest of the world).

"This week's guest is Celina Lin, who played on the feature table on Day 3 of the Monte Carlo Main Event, alongside Daniel Negreanu, ElkY and Hossein Ensan. Celina shares her memories of that day, including her thoughts on her bust-out hand. She also talks about her latest personal injury, which resulted from an unusual early-evening desire for a kebab, following a visit to the Palace of Versailles!

"Finally, the boys are joined on-air by Harry Mansell, who takes on Joe at 'Gladiator' trivia in 'Superfan vs Stapes'. Please don't forget to rate, review and subscribe to #PokerInTheEars".

This week's low stakes winners

We may feature news each week of the big winners from the Sunday Majors on PokerStars, but size is relative, especially in poker, where a four-figure win can feel like a six-figure win to the low and micro stakes player.

So, who were the big small winners from last weekend? Check out our low stakes results round up to find out.

PCA ticket up for grabs in PokerStars London Series last longer competition

If you're in London this weekend, looking to play some poker, check out the Hippodrome in Leicester Square.

It's not just that the PokerStars London Series begins tonight, running through to Sunday, but for a £100 opt in you can take part in a unique PCA last longer, the winner of which will win a package to the PCA in January. It's as simple as that.

Even I you don't win the last longer there are plenty of reasons to enter the London Series, in what we think is the best place to play poker in London.

Check out the PokerStars London homepage for more details.

This week on PokerStars School

It's been another busy week on PokerStars School, as we reported on the Blog.

As well as the latest video aimed at helping you crush 6-max cash games, there's a great feature on how to label your opponents to get a better understanding of their playing style. So, if your previous labelling of players involved words like "b******", or "***-of-a-*****", this this article is for you. Same goes if you're simply trying to understand your opponent better.

Finally, there's the latest details of what's coming up on the Schools Twitch Channel.

Catch up with all of that here.
