Need some UNFOLD tips and strategy? Look no further

The best thing about introducing new poker formats is that they bring everyone back onto an even playing field. Nobody is an expert -- yet -- and so gaining a strategic advantage early on can be very profitable.

PokerStars' latest innovation is UNFOLD poker: a game where players who have folded their hands pre-flop have the chance to unfold them after the flop, in a bid to win the main pot plus a special side pot made up of UNFOLD antes.

And before we go any further, you'll probably be interested to know that PokerStars is giving away $7,500 in free cash to celebrate the launch of UNFOLD. You'll find info of that promotion at the bottom of this article.

So, with a game so new, how does one develop strategies? Where does one find tips on how to play?

Lucky for us, the good folks over at PokerStars School have been hard at work grinding the game and putting together great content to help you with your UNFOLD game.

First off, just what exactly is UNFOLD poker? For more detail on the game, click the link below.

UNFOLD POKER - LIGHTER THAN YOU MIGHT THINK

All of this might will no doubt help your UNFOLD game, but if you've never actually seen the game in action, it might hard to apply it. Before you start grinding yourself, you might want to check out a Twitch stream.

UNFOLD games start from as little as $0.03/$0.06, and if that's not enough to get you excited, we will be running weekend tournaments giving away over $7,500 in FREE cash. Do well in these and you'll have the chance to test out the Unfold cash games, on us. In these turbo tournaments there is very little room for error, and with no option to unfold you have to play good poker. However, if you do cash, you'll have the bankroll to test out Unfold cash games.
