No joke: Djokovic downs Rafa in Barclays final

The rivalry between No. 1 Rafa Nadal and No. 2 Novak Djokovic just got a little hotter.

Tonight in London, Nadal and Djokovic faced off for the sixth time this season. Nadal had the edge, having won three of those previous meetings and taken over the No. 1 ranking from Djokovic. Both players went without a loss this week and set up a rivalry match for the ages.

But Djokovic was on a heater. He's won his last 21 matches, including the trouncing of Stanislas Wawrinka to make it to the championship match of the at the ATP World Tour Finals.

That heater continued tonight as Djokovic beat Nadal in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4.

Rafa after taking over the No. 1 ranking in China

Despite tonight's loss, Rafa's comeback season was still one for the story books. Since February, he lost only seven of 83 matches. In that time, he won three majors and five ATP titles. What's more, he'll end the season as No. 1 in the Emirates ATP Rankings for the third time.

Congrats, Rafa, on an amazing season.
