Women's Poker League: Three players score in multiple divisions in May

League logo.jpgThe PokerStars Women's Poker League continues to grow in popularity, as players strive for tournament wins and WPL monthly prizes, not to mention some prestige by being one of the top-ranked female players on PokerStars. More women join the action every month in 2012.

Players always stand out when they achieve success in the WPL, but three players caught our collective eye in May when they reached the top 10 in more than one division. Two players did it in April, but this month, Artemis236 performed well in the $.10 and $1.10 divisions, Idlucas and Zosya7g each finished near the top of the $.10 and $5.50 divisions. Impressive!

In addition, several players made forays into the top 10 this month after doing just as well last month. Those players included Idlucas, horsewoman72, maadcaroma, REBEKC, Jora80, KOKIRITA, joy7108, PSmiss, and zemlyanikasw. Consistent performances are too often overlooked, but we're watching, ladies!

$.10 League

We checked in on the May rankings on the 16th and found OlimpiadAA in the lead as the only player over 100 points. Oty_star had 84 points, and rjana165 was in third with 73. As the end of the month approached nearly two weeks later, OlimpiadAA only solidified her lead and climbed further out of reach. Oty_star was in a close battle with GypsyGrey555 for second place, and P4elkaVK and Artemis236 came into the picture with strong finishes.

The end numbers showed OlimpiadAA of Russia with that first place finish - 193 points for 29 tournaments for a $100 bonus. GypsyGrey555 of the Philippines took over second place with 31 tournaments and 147 points, and oty_star of Romania settled for third place with 143 points for 30 tournaments. Notable finishes were Idlucas, who also made the top ten of the $5.50 division and finished third in the April $1.10 league, and horsewoman72 who improved on her $1.10 April tenth place finish.
