Dexteredeuce claims June 30 Women's Sunday victory

Overlay! For two weeks in a row, the Women's Sunday has provided an overlay for players. The $10K guarantee is usually left behind for larger prize pools, but this weekend is the second in which players had an extra few hundred dollars added to the pool by PokerStars. Who doesn't love an overlay?

The summer is definitely upon us in most parts of the world. Players are traveling to places like London and Las Vegas for exciting live tournaments, and others are enjoying family holidays and travels. This means fewer players at the online tables, but those who take time out of their Sundays to gather for events like the $55 Women's Sunday have an extra reward with the guarantees.

This week's Women's Sunday drew these numbers:

Total players: 194
Guarantee: $10,000.00
Prize pool: $10,000.00 ($300 overlay)
Paid finishers: 36

There was a bounty in the tournament today, as Friend of PokerStars Charlotte "Sjlot" Van Brabander took time out from her London trip to join the tournament. She is pictured here playing in the UKIPT this weekend:

Today, she finished in 98th place, outlasting half the field. The numbers kept falling, as the money bubble finally burst before the three-hour mark of the event. That guaranteed everyone at least $75.00 for their play, and action moved toward the final table.

Two tables were running a few minutes into the hour, and it took nearly another hour to reach hand-for-hand play. It didn't take long for CoralieCo to move all-in for 7,262 chips with 9♦9♥. LuxoR_C called with Q♦7♣ from the big blind, and the board of 6♦K♥6♥A♦Q♠ rivered the best two pair for LuxoR_C. CoralieCo was ousted in tenth place with $160.00.

No tilt for chip leader TashaTilt

The final table began in Level 18, with blinds at 1,250/2,500 and a 250 ante. Players' chip stacks were as follows:

Seat 1: TashaTilt (139,048 in chips)
Seat 2: Dexteredeuce (45,202 in chips)
Seat 3: CaWa11 (53,991 in chips)
Seat 4: PrincessJJ14 (77,911 in chips)
Seat 5: TuesdaysCat (28,012 in chips)
Seat 6: GannyAK (33,152 in chips)
Seat 7: T0RDENGUDEN (35,227 in chips)
Seat 8: LuxoR_C (66,054 in chips)
Seat 9: fournz (103,403 in chips)

On the very first hand of the table, GannyAK doubled through Dexteredeuce, relegating the latter to the shortest stack. T0RDENGUDEN doubled through GannyAK, the latter did the same through PrincessJJ14, and the latter of those two then doubled through TashaTilt to stay in action. There was no shortage of action in this game!

More followed: TuesdaysCat doubled through TashaTilt, LuxoR_C through T0RDENGUDEN, GannyAK through fournz, CaWa11 through GannyAK.

Then it stopped. PrincessJJ14 tried her luck again, pushing all-in with 3♥3♦ from the small blind. TuesdaysCat called from the big blind with A♠J♣, and though the majority of the board of 8♥5♠7♣2♥ was innocent, the A♥ on the river was the winning hand. PrincessJJ14 exited in ninth place for $190.00.

Soon after, Dexteredeuce raised all-in UTG for 38,500 with K♣Q♥, and T0RDENGUDEN called for her last 19K with A♥K♦. TashaTilt called both players with A♣5♣, and the board came J♥Q♣Q♠2♥9♦. That gave Dexteredeuce both pots, while T0RDENGUDEN was ousted in eighth place with $250.00.

Fournz was the next player to get involved in a big hand, which started with GannyAK to see a raised flop of J♣3♥8♠. They checked to see the 8♥ turn, at which point fournz bet, and GannyAK check-called. The A♦ on the river prompted fournz to bet all-in with A♣Q♣ for two pair, but GannyAK called with A♠8♦ for the full house, leaving fournz out in seventh place with $350.00.

CaWa11 doubled through TashaTilt for a 108K pot, and the latter was down to 7,870 chips for the next hand. TashaTilt did double through TuesdaysCat on the next hand, and she tried it again two hands later. The hand actually started with an all-in raise from LuxoR_C, and TashaTilt called all-in with Q♦J♥. LuxoR_C showed A♣6♠ and only improved on the 6♥9♦T♣A♠J♣ board. TashaTilt departed in sixth place with $450.00.

CaWa11 was at it again, pushing all-in from the button with A♦7♠, and original raiser Dexteredeuce called with A♠J♥. The board of A♥8♦5♠3♦8♥ provided no relief for CaWa11, who accepted $580.00 for the fifth place finish.

As the pace picked up, this is the kind of action we witnessed:

TuesdaysCat, who finished fourth in this event just weeks ago, pushed her last 864 chips all-in with 8♠6♥ against the T♦9♣ of Dexteredeuce and lost to the A♥2♣3♠Q♠9♠ board. TuesdaysCat took fourth place again, this time for $850.00.

A few hands later, LuxoR_C, who finished fifth two weeks ago, made an UTG raise, only to be reraised by Dexteredeuce. LuxorR_C responded by moving all-in with A♥A♦. and Dexteredeuce called with A♠J♣. But the flop of K♣8♥Q♣ brought the straight draw for Dexteredeuce, and it was complete on the T♥ turn. The 2♥ river card eliminated LuxoR_C in third place with $1,130.00.

Dexteredeuce dominates

Heads-up play began with these counts:

Seat 2: Dexteredeuce (478,604 in chips)
Seat 6: GannyAK (103,396 in chips)

And it only took two hands. GannyAK raised preflop, and Dextereduece reraised. The two saw a flop of 9♦9♥2♥, and Dexteredeuce bet. GannyAK raised all-in with K♣J♠, and Dexteredeuce called with A♠K♦. The 8♦ turn and 2♠ river changed nothing, and the kicker played with the two pair on the board, leaving GannyAK out in second place with $1,500.00.

Dexteredeuce won the Women's Sunday and $2,045.00 in cash. Congrats!
