The final day rush for the MicroMillions Player of the Series begins with ELGRAND4 and Team PokerStars Pro Marcin "Goral" Horecki tied at the top of the list with a 2013 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure package for the winner. But, with the logjam at the top of the list with players like AleksS69 and GMalex89 just one cash behind in points, it will take a strong showing in tonight's tournaments to see who walk away with that inaugural Player of the Series trophy. As a consolation places two through ten will walk away with a chance at the next big tournament series here at PokerStars: the Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP). Nine $1,050 Medium Main Event tickets will be given to places two through ten, placing in the top 100 gets you a $109 Low Main Event ticket, not a bad deal considering the $365,386.88 Goldenboys walked away with last year in the Medium Main Event or $168,574.13 that fittungen took home in the Low Main Event.
But, that's over a month away; today's Event 93's $5.50 8-Game $10,000.00 guaranteed tournament would take all the poker knowledge one has to take down the $2,221.73 especially with 2,819 hungry micro-stakers looking to make their mark on this tournament series.
Marcin would finish in 1,384th place while fellow Red Spade holder Team Online's Kristian "CharismA3" Martin would climb the board much further but ended the tournament just short of the 360 place money line in 443rd place.
Down to two tables of six and just before the sixth hourly break, aasn would take out both CoLa7687 and kanskje123 on the same hand for a 3.08 million chip pot after notching a king-high flush on the river during the PLO round with blinds at 15K/30K. BizzZNessS got eaten by the sizable blinds as the switched to 2-7 Triple Draw. With just under two big blinds BizzZNessS was set all in preflop by So F Sick and the deck did not help as BizzZNessS drew to a nine-high straight which is not very good in this game as So F Sick managed a ten-seven low to take down the 632,264 chip pot.
aasn was short for assassin again as he would take out gased1 in the Omaha Hi-Low around scooping the British player with sixes and treys and a six-five low T♠ 3♠ 3♣ 5♥ as gased1 could only manage sixes and deuces with a eight-six low 2♦ J♥ K♥ 4♥ on the all-low 6♦ 8♥ 2♥ 6♣ A♠ board. Razz would claim the last of F0rester's chips as Ivandub found a nine low to out pip F0rester's ten low ending the tournament in eighth place ($169.14) and setting up hand-for-hand play.
God's r-hand would need some divine intervention to get out of the chip hole dug in from getting the bring-in with a short-stack four times in a row. Left with just 71,275 in chips and limits of 120K/240K ante 24K in Stud, God's r-hand showed a 3♦ on the door good for the bring-in once again and decided to go with it all-in. So F Sick and Stackfield would call the small amount and check it down through all streets. Despite only a pair of fours shown by So F Sick T♣ 6♠ / K♦ 4♦ J♦ 2♥ / 4♥ God's r-hand ascended to the rail as the bubble boy in seventh place ($169.14) starting up the final table below:
Seat 1: Diija (2386868 in chips)
Seat 2: Ivandub (745730 in chips)
Seat 3: So F Sick (4828845 in chips)
Seat 4: aasn (1436006 in chips)
Seat 5: nicmenskij (1804402 in chips)
Seat 6: Stackfield (2893149 in chips)
Diija know who finished in sixth place?
Just one game rotation into the final table our first player without chips was asked to leave the stage. Holding 502,868 chips and betting limits for Stud Hi-Lo at 120K/240K ante 24K Diija would trade raises with Stackfield after the door cards were dealt to run them out for Diija's tournament life. Pair of treys and a eight-six low for Diija gave life for a split 9♥ 8♠ / 2♣ 3♠ 6♠ 3♣ / 5♥ but Stackfield started with three to a wheel and ended with aces plus a seven-five low 3♦ A♦ / 2♠ 9♣ A♣ 7♣ / 5♣ to end Diija's run in sixth place ($251.87).
So F Quick
Just two hands later and one-third of the final table was gone. Check the Stud Hi-Lo hand below as aasn gets shown the door:
Much like Diija, aasn was short-stacked with 428,006 chips but So F Sick only called the door card raise of aasn as So F Sick led out when he picked up a second four and aasn tossed in the remaining 164,006 chips and So F Sick made the call. Split kings K♥ 5♥ / K♠ T♥ 9♦ 6♠ / J♣ never improved for aasn but So F Sick would string three fours together on third, fourth, and fifth street A♥ 6♥ / 4♣ 4♦ 4♥ 7♣ / Q♦ to end aasn's night in fifth place ($493.32).
So F Sick has had a knack for finding some decent cards at the right time during this final table as shown by the 10 million chip stack when no one else held even two million while four-handed. On to the 2-7 Triple Draw round and bets at 200K/400K So F Sick raised from the small blind as nicmenskij three-bet from the big blind. So F Sick called and took two as nicmenskij drew one. Bet and a call and both players took the same course of action on the second draw. So F Sick once again led out putting nicmenskij all-in for his last 124,734 as So F Sick laid pat while nicmenskij was still trying to connect with that one card. So F Sick's two card draw hit a eight-six 4♠ 2♦ 3♥ 8♠ 6♥ while nicmenskij could only find a nine-eight 3♦ 2♣ 6♣ 9♠ 8♥ to withdraw from the tournament in fourth place ($775.22).
Four hands later as the game switched back to the H in HORSE and bets up to 200K/400K Stackfield and Ivandub would have no reservations about trying to combine their stacks to go up against the mountain of chips next to So F Sick. Capped preflop and Stackfield's last 427,880 would go in after the K♣5♣2♣ flop as Ivandub showed pocket jacks J♠J♣ and Stackfield clinging for tournament life with a gutshot and overcard 4♦A♠. The overcard would hit the turn A♣ but that also gave Ivandub an unbeatable flush and the 3.2 million chip pot to end Stackfield's night in third place ($1,198.07).
Not so sick finish
So F Sick would take a 9.8 to 4.2 million chip lead into heads-up play and with Ivandub. By the time the five minute Hold Em' round ended that lead was reversed as Ivandub would take a nine million to five million chip lead. Then, two hands into the Omaha Hi-Lo round a 6.1 million chip hand would decide the winner of the MicroMillions Event #93 8-Game tournament. Check it out below:
Ivandub: 4♥ 6♣ A♥ A♠
So F Sick: shows 9♣ K♦ T♣ 8♥
So F Sick tried to rep what Ivandub had as it was capped preflop and capped again after the K♥5♦A♣ flop. 4♠ turn brought the same betting as So F Sick was all-in for the last 72,114 drawing dead as Ivandub flipped up the flopped set taking down the last pot and successfully collecting all 14,095,000 chips in victory!
