PokerStars Sunday Tournament Results 2-8-09

With the Super Bowl behind us, Punxsutawney Phil refusing to cooperate, and six more weeks of winter ahead of us, we should've expected the huge fields in this weekend's big tournaments. It's safe to say, no one was disappointed with the size of the prize pools in this weekend's big events.

Biggest honors on the week went to THE_ALPACA who bested a huge Sunday Million crowd. More than 8,700 people showed up at this week's Sunday Million to fight for a nearly $1.8 million prize pool. THE_ALPACA ended up making a six-way deal but still walked away with more than $174,000. If you'd like to see how he did it, check out our Sunday Million final table report.

The Sunday Warm-Up fields continue to impress, as well. Nearly 4,400 players signed up of the earlier event. With a prize pool that neared $900,000, the Warm-Up players were fighting for some serious cash. Germany's Watte cut a deal heads-up and emerged with the victory. That Sunday Warm-Up victory earned him nearly $100,000.
