MicroMillions II: Day 1 round up

micromillions-thumb-blog.pngThe MicroMillions machine is up and running with five events settled and three more under way, one of which (Event #4) is quickly approaching a final table leaving a staggering 93 events that you can still play.* If you missed our prelude to the return of the MicroMillions then we can summarise it for you thus; it's big prizes for small stakes. After eight events the series has kicked up an incredible $687,376.42 in prize pools for micro stakes buy-ins.

*Don't try to catch us out with the fact that 93 plus 8 equals more than the 100 events scheduled: Event #8 is still open for late registration.

Starting from yesterday, the MicroMillions II series runs for 11 days (12-22 July) covering 100 big money guaranteed tournaments for players, committed low stakes grinders, leader board challengers, have-a-go heroes and those that just love the game. And, as if you needed any incentive, there are thousands of dollars in leader board rewards, the cherry on the top being a $10,000 plus expenses PokerStars Caribbean Adventure main event package.

And in case you missed the proclamation yesterday, Team PokerStars Online's Andre 'acoimbra' Coimbra made the bold claim that he'd play all 100 events. If your maths isn't too great think of it this way. That's 50 tournaments twice over, i.e. a lot. But the real difficulty lies in that most of the events start within three hours of each other, which doesn't exactly leave much time for beauty sleep. acoimbra is going to post a video diary every day and the PokerStars Blog's random guess calculations say that he falls asleep on-screen on 19 July.
