MicroMillions 4: MarcPok draws a win in Event #79 ($3.30 NL 2-7 Single Draw)

There are probably not too many micro-limit players who would be proficient in No Limit 2-7 Single Draw, but that didn't stop a healthy 2,863 players turning out for Event #79 of the MicroMillions 4 series. The buy-in was $3.30 to create a prize pool of $8,589 with Germany's MarcPok grabbing the lion's share with an impressive victory.

Tyler Frost, Adrienne Rowsome and Marcel Luske were all representing Team PokerStars and all got pretty close to the cash, only to fall a few hundred places short of profit for the top 360 players. When lumpy3636 busted on the bubble in 361st place, everyone else had guaranteed a $5.41 min-cash.

Approaching the final table and sggirb moved all in pre-draw and picked up two callers. sggirb drew two as both mic_naka and MarcPok stood pat. mic_naka tabled 2♥9♣3♦6♣8♦ for a nine-low which was too good, eliminating sggirb in 7th place as the final table was formed as follows:

Final Table Line up
Seat 1: R-Cold (1,327,851 in chips)
Seat 2: mic_naka (4,086,208 in chips)
Seat 3: PokeherKiDD (4,583,187 in chips)
Seat 4: Alexmon (1,471,216 in chips)
Seat 5: verstappen86 (1,749,644 in chips)
Seat 6: MarcPok (1,096,894 in chips)

R-Cold caught an early double up, drawing one to make a perfect 2♥3♦5♥4♠7♦, as mic_naka also took one but could only muster a ten-low.

That was followed by another double, this time to MarcPok who stood pat with a nine-low as PokeherKiDD drew one but paired up.

The slide continued for PokeherKiDD who started the final table with the chip lead, but again PokeherKiDD ran into trouble in a hand against MarcPok. It started with a min-raise from MarcPok before PokeherKiDD moved all in. MarcPok made the call and both players stood pat. PokeherKiDD opened 2♥T♠5♥7♥6♥ for a ten-low but it wasn't enough as MarcPok showed 9♥8♦4♠7♣2♦ for a nine-low. PokeherKiDD was left to depart in 6th place for $153.48 in prize money.

verstappen86 was getting short and had to make something happen. verstappen86 moved all in first to speak with around four big blinds but MarcPok made the call. verstappen86 wasn't confident and drew two as MarcPok stood pat. verstappen86 could only make a king-low with 4♦3♦2♠5♠K♥ but it wasn't enough as MarcPok tabled 8♥6♥J♠4♠9♥ for a jack-low to take the pot. verstappen86 picked up $300.61 for 5th place.

MarcPok was surging ahead as Alexmon was struggling to stay afloat. After a raise from mic_naka, Alexmon moved all in with mic_naka making the call and standing pat. That left Alexmon to draw two and open T♠9♥7♣7♥2♣ for an evil pair. mic_naka's ten-low with 4♠5♦T♣9♦6♣ was too good leaving Alexmon to collect $472.39 for 4th place.

mic_naka was unable to survive too much further. mic_naka called a three-bet from MarcPok and watched as MarcPok stood pat. mic_naka decided to draw one and ended up with a strong T♥4♥6♦2♣7♥ ten-low but MarcPok had that trumped with 7♦4♠3♠9♣5♣ for a nine-low. mic_naka finished in 3rd place and received $730.06.

Heads-up chip counts
Seat 1: R-Cold (3,300,702 in chips)
Seat 6: MarcPok (11,014,298 in chips)

The first two pots of heads-up play went to MarcPok, as did the third, which was also the last of the tournament.

There was a pre-draw raise an three-bet, before MarcPok moved all in. R-Cold made the call and both players were confident enough to stand pat. R-Cold opened 6♥2♥T♠9♦4♦ for a ten-nine low but was pipped by MarcPok' 4♥8♣6♣T♥3♠ ten-eight low to grab the win! R-Cold collected $987.73 for 2nd place as MarcPok takes the MicroMillions title to Germany along with $1,354.52 in prize money!
