MicroMillions 6: AlexRAVXXX ravishes final table to win Event #42 [$5.50 NL Hold'em]

Heads-up lasted a single hand. If you blinked, you might have missed the battle between Russia's AlexRAVXXX and Canada's GaMeBrEaK119. Even though AlexRAVXXX held the lead with two to go, the Russian kindly offered GaMeBrEaK119 the opportunity to discuss a money deal. GaMeBrEaK119 instantly shot down any deal talk. And on the ensuing hand, it was all over. AlexRAVXXX delivered a quick and stunning knock-out blow to win heads-up in one hand. GaMeBrEaK119 never saw it coming, and AlexRAVXXX became the newest MicroMillions 6 champion.

MicroMillions 6 Event #42 $5.50 NL attracted 20,431 runners. They boosted the prize pool to $102,155. The top 2,700 places paid out with $10,228.43 set aside to the eventual champion.

With two tables to go, GaMeBrEaK119 emerged as the apparent front runner with over 15 million. With 12 remaining, AlexRAVXXX seized the lead for a brief moment before GaMeBrEaK119 snagged it back. With 11 to go, GaMeBrEaK119 chipped up to 27 million and battled isilduur, the newest challenger for the top spot.

With 10 players remaining, action went hand-for-hand. GaMeBrEaK119 held almost 25% of the chips in play. China's jackpk999 bubbled off the final table in tenth place when A♠7♠ lost to isilduur's A♦Q♣. With jackpk999's elimination, the final table was set with isilduur sitting in first overall as the new chipleader.

The final table commenced during Level 51 with blinds at 300K/600K and a 75K ante. Colombia's isilduur had snagged the top spot with almost 29 million. GaMeBrEaK119 sat in second with 26.8 million. Meanwhile, Nesbo1512 clung to the short stack with 2.8 million.

pudsinu eliminated in 9th place

It took approximately ten minutes before someone busted at the final table. Short-stacked pudsinu open-shoved for 1,383,348 holding J♠7♥ and Nesbo1512 called from the big blind with 9♦7♦. The board ran out A♠8♦2♣T♦Q♦. Nesbo1512 picked up monster redraw with an open-ended straight flush draw on the turn. Nesbo1512 rivered a Queen-high flush, while pudsinu failed to improve. For ninth place, pudsinu collected $612.93.

bt191985 eliminated in 8th place

Battle of the blinds. Small blind bt191985 bombed it all-in for 3,619,530 with A♦2♥, and pin4era called from the big blind holding Q♥7♦. The board ran out 8♣7♥3♣6♠T♠ and pin4era won the pot with a pair of sevens. Denmark's bt191985 was knocked out in eighth place, which paid out $919.39.

Mirzike eliminated in 7th place

Short-stacked Mirzike moved all-in for 888,776 and made a final stand with Q♦3♠. AlexRAVXXX called with A♠3♣ hoping to pick off Mirzike. The board ran out T♣8♥7♠6♣6♥. Neither player improved their hand, but AlexRAVXXX won the pot with a pair of sixes and an Ace-kicker. Mirzike hit the virtual rail and took home $1,532.32 for seventh place.

With six players remaining, GaMeBrEaK119 sat atop the biggest stack with 45 million, while Nesbo1512 brought up the rear with 6.5 million.

Bronevik1991 eliminated in 6th place

Another shorty bit the dust. Bronevik1991 min-raised to 2 million, GaMeBrEaK119 bumped it up to 5 million, and Bronevik1991 called. The flop was 9♣6♦2♥. GaMeBrEaK119 fired out 5 million. Bronevik1991 shoved over the top for 12,334,152, and GaMeBrEaK119 called. Heck of a time to walk into a cooler. GaMeBrEaK119 led with A♣A♦ versus Bronevik1991's T♣T♥. The turn was the 9♦ and the river was the 7♦. GaMeBrEaK119's Aces held up and Bronevik1991 was knocked out in sixth place, which paid out $2,553.87.

pin4era eliminated in 5th place

Classic race when pin4era took T♦T♣ into battle against isilduur's A♠K♦ after isilduur min-raised to 2 million, pin4era shoved all-in for 3,835,522, and isilduur called. The board ran out Q♣2♦2♠9♠A♦. The Ace on the river sunk pin4era's chances of doubling up. As is, isilduur dragged the pot with two pair -- Aces and deuces. Bulgaria's pin4era took home $3,575.42 for a fifth-place finish.

With four to go, GaMeBrEaK119 retained the chip lead with 63.3 million and Nesbo1512 continued to dwell in the basement with 4 million.

Nesbo1512 eliminated in 4th place

Super-shorty Nesbo1512 was in trouble and found himself all-in in the big blind for 704,424. isilduur called with T♦7♠ and was behind Nesbo1512's Q♣9♠. Alas, the flop was T♠T♥9♥ and isilduur flopped trips. The turn was the K♦ and the river was the K♥. isilduur won the pot with a full house. Unfortunately, Nesbo1512 hit the road in fourth place, which paid out $4,596.97.

With three to go, GaMeBrEaK119's monster stack was worth approximately 70 million, while isilduur was second with 17.2 million, and AlexRAVXXX was third with 15 million.

isilduur eliminated in 3rd place

The two smaller stacks fought each other to the death. When the dust settled, isilduur was defeated and busted out in third place. isilduur kicked off the fracas by moving all-in for 13,488,342 holding 9♠9♣. AlexRAVXXX called from the big blind with K♦Q♥. Coinflip. The board ran out K♠J♥7♠2♣4♠. AlexRAVXXX flopped a King and took the lead, which held up by the river. Pocket nines were no good for isilduur. Colombia's took home $6,129.30 for third place.

The final two only played a single hand before a winner was declared. AlexRAVXXX held the edge 61.6 million to 40.4 but tried to offer his opponent a potential money chop.

GaMeBrEaK119 responded with a stern and instant "No."

With the notion of a deal shot down, play resumed. Perhaps GaMeBrEaK119 should have reconsidered, considering heads-up lasted a mere one hand.

AlexRAVXXX min-raised to 2.8 million and GaMeBrEaK119 called. The flop was J♣9♥8♦. GaMeBrEaK119 fired out 5.6 million, AlexRAVXXX moved all-in for 58,687,686, and GaMeBrEaK119 called all-in for 31,917,314. GaMeBrEaK119 held Q♥8♣ for bottom pair of eight, but also picked up a gutshot draw. AlexRAVXXX held the lead with A♣9♣ and middle pair. The turn was the 6♣ and AlexRAVXXX picked up a nut flush draw. The river was the A♦. AlexRAVXXX won the pot with two pair -- Aces and nines. GaMeBrEaK119's pair of eights did not improve, so GaMeBrEaK119 busted out in second place. GaMeBrEaK119 collected $8,158.09 as the runner-up.
