MicroMillions 7: andreas-xe bulldozes Event #66 final table ($2.20 NLHE)
Andreas-xe arrived at the final table of this event with the chip lead and never let it go. With double the stack of his two closest contenders, andreas-xe laid low in the early going and steadily chipped up before unleashing a wave of aggression when play turned five-handed. He didn't always do it with the best hand, but andreas-xe managed to eliminate three of his remaining four opponents and cruised to his first MicroMillions title after a heads-up match that lasted only two hands.
15,437 players paid $2.20 apiece to enter Event #66, the $30,874.00 prize pool more than triple the $10k guarantee. 2,025 places were paid with first place set to earn $3,869.70. It took three hours and fifty minutes to burst the money bubble and after nine hours of play, the field was down to its final ten players. With the blinds up to 200,000/400,000, CJlapmu opened for a min-raise to 800,000 and got three callers: vipkapitan, Pharey, and ninjaa11. The action checked to CJlapmu on the A♠3♠2♥ flop and he moved all-in for 2.16 million. Only Pharey called. CJlapmu turned over A♣9♦ for top pair, but Pharey's J♠7♠ turned a flush when the 5♠ fell. CJlapmu made a useless three of a kind on the river with the A♥ and departed on the final table bubble.

selniloc succumbs in ninth place
While CJlapmu was at risk on one table, short stack selniloc was doing the same on the other. Down to only 791,000, selniloc shoved with 8♥9♥, got three callers, and managed to turn a full house when the board ran out 8♦8♣7♣7♦J♥. Selniloc quadrupled to 3.4 million, but put his tournament life back on the line four hands later. Andreas-xe opened for 800,000 from UTG, The Temple55 shoved for 2.8 million and selniloc called on the button with A♥J♥. With the action back on andreas-xe, he moved all-in for 22.8 million and selniloc put in his remaining 862,732. Andreas-xe's A♣K♦ improved to a pair of kings on the K♥9♣9♦ flop and turned two pair with the 8♣, but he couldn't crack The Temple55's A♠A♦. Andreas-xe picked up the small side pot and selniloc was eliminated in 9th place, good for $185.24.
GRUBYLOLO77, vipkapitan sunk
Moments later, Roman Rodion opened for 1,000,000 from UTG and GRUBYLOLO77 called on the button. Roman Rodion led out for another million on the 8♦5♦5♥ flop, GRUBYLOLO77 shoved for 2.7 million and Roman Rodion called, tabling K♦K♣. His pocket jacks coolered, GRUBYLOLO77 didn't get a miracle on the turn or river and was eliminated in eighth place ($277.86).
With the blinds up to 250,000/500,000, vipkapitan open-shoved for 1.54 million UTG and Pharey looked him up on the button with A♦7♣. Vipkapitan'sQ♥T♦ didn't get any help on the 9♣4♦2♥A♣5♠ board and he departed in seventh place, collecting $540.29.
Small pairs fail Roman Rodion
Roman Rodion and Bizonco clashed when the former made a small blind shove with pocket fives and the latter called with A♣5♣ in the big. Bizonco caught an ace on the flop and doubled to 15.9 million, leaving Roman Rodion on only 1.87 million. Roman Rodion moved in on the next deal with pocket fours, but once again, his small pair didn't survive. Ninjaa11's 9♥3♣ rivered a pair of nines on the 6♦2♣2♦A♣9♣ board and Roman Rodion hit the rail in sixth place ($833.59).
Bizonco busts in fifth
Nearing the ten big blind threshold with 6.56 million, The Temple55 moved all-in from the small blind with A♥7♣ only to run into Bizonco's A♠9♥ in the big. However, luck was with The Temple55 and he paired his kicker on the Q♥7♥4♠ flop. Bizonco didn't catch up and The Temple55 doubled to 13.3 million.
Bizonco fell to 7.5 million before he picked up J♠J♣ and three-bet shoved over andreas-xe's opening min-raise. Andreas-xe called with A♥J♦. Bizonco's jacks held on the 8♦7♣3♣ flop, but the A♦ spiked on the turn to snap them off. The river was the K♦ and Bizonco was out in fifth place, earning $1,142.33.
From four to one in five hands
The players didn't know it yet, but only five more hands remained in the tournament. First, Pharey opened for 1.6 million from the cutoff and ninjaa11 shoved for 8.53 million from the big blind. Pharey snap-called, his K♣K♠ leading ninjaa11's A♥J♦. Pharey flopped a set of kings and rivered kings full of jacks, ending ninjaa11's run in fourth place ($1,451.07).
Two hands later, andreas-xe found A♣8♦ in the small blind and shoved for 43.2 million. The Temple55 called off his remaining 11.3 million with K♣Q♠. Andreas-xe made top pair on the flop and aces up on the river, the board running out A♠J♥9♥3♦3♥ to eliminate him in third place ($2,068.55).
Heads-up chip counts
Seat 8: Pharey (21,502,810 in chips)
Seat 9: andreas-xe (55,682,190 in chips)
It was all over on the second hand of heads-up play. Although Pharey got his money in with the best hand, his A♦Q♥ dominating A♣T♠, andreas-xe hit running clubs to make a flush and lock up the win.
Congratulations to andreas-xe on going wire-to-wire at the final table to earn his first MicroMillions title! He banked $3,869.70 for the win while runner-up Pharey earned $2,695.30.
