MicroMillions 7: Eugene031RUS wins Event #41 ($1+R NLHE 3x-Turbo)

The final table of Event 41 began with Eugene031RUS trailing a bit behind the chip leader, but it was patience that paid off. As BossOfPros got aggressive and lost the lead to ultimately exit in sixth place, Eugene031RUS waited for the right moment to move. And it was a fairly smooth trip to the winner's circle from there, as Eugene031RUS took victory in less than an hour of final table play.

What's more fun on a Monday than a $1 tournament? How about a $1 No Limit Hold'em event with rebuys? Let's also make that a 3x-turbo with 5-minute levels ... with a $100K guarantee ... as part of the MicroMillions Monday lineup. The turnout was simply astounding!

Players: 28,058
Guarantee: $100,000.00
Prize pool: 169,897.91
Paid players: 3,600

Of course, a turbo tournament is going to move rather quickly, despite the massive size of the field. By the 5.5-hour mark, only three tables remained, and the stack sizes were all over 10 million. It did take another 15 minutes to reduce to only two tables, as play slowed and payouts increased more dramatically.

Just before the six-hour mark, hand-for-play began, and it ended after only a few minutes. Big Popp4 moved all-in with A♦Q♠, and Mallerbob called with K♥K♦. The kings held up to the 5♥2♥8♠6♦9♥ board, and Big Popp4 exited in tenth place with $637.11.

BossOfPros is boss of chips

The final table got underway in Level 64, with blinds of 2.5M/5M and a 500K ante, along with these players and their corresponding chip counts:

Seat 1: BossOfPros (201,823,008 in chips)
Seat 2: Calcasus (101,990,730 in chips)
Seat 3: Eugene031RUS (96,496,588 in chips)
Seat 4: Nevberos (101,951,384 in chips)
Seat 5: poockha (64,618,104 in chips)
Seat 6: TaDi2012 (74,965,444 in chips)
Seat 7: sebigwahn (71,118,367 in chips)
Seat 8: SnakesRush (87,935,514 in chips)
Seat 9: Mallerbob (182,941,861 in chips)

Poockha didn't waste much time and quickly doubled through SnakesRush. And then it was BossOfPros who stepped up to increase that chip lead by quite a few million chips.

The first big hand started with an UTG raise from BossOfPros and raise from sebigwahn. BossOfPros responded with an all-in reraise, and sebigwahn called all-in with 4♦4♣. BossOfPros showed A♦Q♠ and caught the turn of the 2♣T♥7♥A♥T♠ board. Sebigwahn was ousted in ninth place with $849.48.

On the very next hand, SnakesRush raised from the button with 9♦6♣, and BossOfPros called from the big blind with K♦7♣. Nothing came on the board of 2♣3♠5♦Q♥7♠ to help SnakesRush, who left in eighth place with $1,444.13.

Eugene031RUS doubled through Calcasus, and the latter then did the same through Nevberos. Two hands after that, Calcasus moved all-in with 4♦4♥, and Nevberos called with A♦Q♥. The first card on the flop was the A♥ to give Nevberos top pair, and the rest of the board produced 8♦5♠5♥8♥. That left Calcasus out in seventh place with $2,123.72.

TaDi2012 doubled through poockha and then scored this big double-up through BossOfPros:

Poockha then doubled through TaDi2012.

BossOfPros then sought a place to double up and took a shot with a big-blind all-in raise with A♠K♥. Original UTG raiser Eugene031RUS called with A♦A♣, and the aces only turned into two pair on the Q♠8♦8♥T♥T♠ board. That left BossOfPros out in sixth place with $3,058.16.

TaDi2012 wanted that top spot on the leaderboard back and made a move. It started with an UTG raise from TaDi2012 and call from Eugene031RUS. The flop of 5♠8♥3♥ brought an all-in bet from Eugene031RUS, and TaDi2012 check-called all-in with A♥T♥ for the flush draw. Eugene031RUS showed 9♣9♦ for the overpair, and the 3♠ on the turn made that two pair. The Q♣ on the river eliminated TaDi2012 in fifth place with $4,587.24.

Mallerbob took a turn to double through poockha as shown here:

Poockha moved all-in on the next hand with 1.3 million chips and A♦6♦, and Nevberos called from the big blind with 8♠4♠. But the board of J♠T♣9♦3♥Q♠ made a straight for Nevberos and eliminated poockha in fourth place with $6,116.32.

Nevberos then doubled through the chip leader:

Soon after, Mallerbob got involved with Eugene031RUS to see a raised flop of A♥9♥3♥. Mallerbob bet all-in with A♠8♦ for top pair, but Eugene031RUS called quickly with A♣K♥ for top pair with the better kicker and the flush draw. The J♥ on the turn made that flush for Eugene031RUS, and the T♣ on the river officially sent Mallerbob out in third place with $7,645.40.

Short heads-up match

The final two players took to heads-up play with these stacks:

Seat 3: Eugene031RUS (713,650,614 in chips)
Seat 4: Nevberos (270,190,386 in chips)

Eight hands into it, Eugene031RUS raised, and Nevberos reraised all-in with 9♠8♥. Eugene031RUS called with A♦K♥, and the flop of 4♦7♥A♠ improved that hand to top pair. The 8♠ on the turn gave Nevberos some hope, but the 3♠ sent Nevberos to the rail in second place with $11,784.11.

Eugene031RUS of Russia collected $16,157.13 and the MicroMillions title. Congrats!
