MicroMillions 7: Thepianist21 plays for the win in Event #46 ($11 NLHE 6-Max Super-KO)

Czeres had such a massive chip lead before the final table and in the initial stages of it that it seemed insurmountable. But not to thepianist21, who lurked in second place until the time was right. During three-handed play, thepianist21 got aggressive with several double-ups, and proceeded to take the chip lead from czeres before eliminating czeres. Thepianist21 took that momentum right into the winner's circle.

The standard NLHE tournament is always exciting for Hold'em fans, but six-max structures are all the rage. Add in the Super-Knockout feature, and it becomes an even more exciting poker game. That was Event 46 of the MicroMillions today.

And so many players wanted in on the action that the guarantee was nearly quadrupled by the actual prize pool. The field was packed with action seekers and knockouts.

Players: 9,128
Guarantee: $25,000.00
Total prize pool: $95,844.00
Regular prize pool: $47,922.00
Bounty prize pool: $47,922.00
Paid players: 1,200

About 15 minutes before the eight-hour mark of the tournament, only two tables remained. Czeres had a massive chip lead with over 10.5 million of them.

Nearly an hour later, Warion755 busted in eighth place, and hand-for-hand play began. It took only minutes from that point for hollibs to make a move with K♠Q♣, and czeres called with 9♠9♦. The board of 4♦A♥9♣K♥6♣ only improved the pair to a set, and hollibs was gone in seventh place with $479.22.

Czeres continues to dominate

The final table got underway in Level 47, with blinds of 125K/250K and a 31,250 ante, and these players:

Seat 1: czeres (20,113,206 in chips)
Seat 2: sapnas_ace (1,960,620 in chips)
Seat 3: Snoop,4221 (1,358,071 in chips)
Seat 4: B/4 00000 (6,861,285 in chips)
Seat 5: pavpav21 (4,879,880 in chips)

Snoop,4221 doubled through sapnas_ace on the very first hand of the final table, and the latter then doubled through pavpav21 to stay in action.

Two hands later, pavpav21 pushed all-in with A♥Q♥ against the 7♦7♥ of czeres. The flop of K♣3♦J♦ showed straight promise, but the 5♠ turn and 4♥ river allowed the sevens to stand. Pavpav21 exited in sixth place with $718.83.

Sapnas_ace was low on chips but doubled through czeres to keep playing. But a few rounds later, sapnas_ace pushed all-in UTG with Q♠7♦. B/4 00000 and the pianist21 both called to see the 3♥J♠A♣. They checked that flop, as well as the 2♣ on the turn. The 8♠ on the river prompted B/4 00000 to bet, and the pianist21 folded. B/4 00000 showed A♠7♣ for top pair, and sapnas_ace was out in fifth place with $1,078.24.

On the very next hand, the pinaist21 started from the button with a raise, and Snoop,4221 reraised all-in from the big blind holding A♦4♦. The pianist21 called with J♥T♣ and rivered a flush on the 6♥T♥8♥3♦A♥ board. Snoop,4221 departed in fourth place with $2,036.68.

Thepianist21 was low on chips but scored this double to secure second place of the three players:

Thepianist21 lost ground but doubled through czeres yet again, and then took a pot worth 21.35 million chips from czeres to capture the top spot.

That left czeres in trouble for the first time in several hours and pushed all-in with K♦6♥. Thepianist21 called with Q♥8♥ and caught two pair on the 7♣Q♦9♥8♦3♦ board. That eliminated czeres in third place for $3,474.34.

No deal for final two

The final two players immediately paused the game to look at chip-chop numbers, but B/4 00000 took issue with the proposed payouts. The tournament resumed, and players moved forward with these chip counts:

Seat 4: B/4 00000 (10,380,678 in chips)
Seat 6: thepianist21 (35,259,322 in chips)

Thepianist21 immediately took charge and whittled B/4 00000 down. B/4 00000 didn't give up easily but finally got involved in a massive hand. It started with a reraised flop of T♣5♣3♥. B/4 00000 bet, thepianist1 raised, and B/4 00000 responded by moving all-in with A♥K♠. Thepianist21 called with K♦T♠ for top pair, which held up to the Q♦ turn and 6♦ river. B/4 00000 had to accept second place money of $4,922.54.

Thepianist21 of Hungary captured the win and $7,193.80 in prize money. Congrats!
