MicroMillions 8: dimitar8008 runs the table to win Event #21 ($3.30 PL Omaha, 6-Max, Turbo)

The first Saturday of the MicroMillions 8 series gave players ten different tournaments to for a shot at a big payday with little investment. Event #21 was the sixth tournament of the day and they were playing some short-handed, turbo Pot Limit Omaha.

The $3.30 buy-in tournament drew 7,413 players to try their hand at 6-Max Turbo PLO and they created a $22,239 prizeplool. The payout ladder was generous and the top 960 made the money with the winner set to earn $3,341, or a thousand times their buy-in.

The fast structure kept things moving along at a chipper pace and they were nearly in the money when registration closed. Decker_rs was the unfortunate bubble boy and missed out on the $5.33 min-cash.

It took just four hours to play down from the starting point to the final table bubble. Bulgarian dimitar8008 took care of business when he knocked out 718135 in 7th place to join them all together. dimitar8008 needed some help with the KO but it set him up nicely to go on a heater where he would soon be responsible for sending everyone else out.

Final Table chip counts:

Seat 6: Kano A92 (4,162,386 in chips)

RogerFéderer gets Aced; eliminated in 6th

Half the final table was sitting with less than 10 big blinds and the other half were not much better. Even with those counts, it still took 16 hands before two players put everything in the middle.

RogerFéderer was down to just 1.9 million and shoved under the gun with A♥J♣T♣5♠. Everyone let their hand go until it reached new chipleader dimitar8008 in the big blind. The shove was a little more than a min-bet and he called with J♦9♣6♦3♦.

RogerFéderer was ahead in theory but dimitar8008 had to like the 8♥7♦4♦ flop, open-ended straight and flush draws plus a few other outs for good measure. It ended quickly when the virtual dealer put the K♦ on the turn to leave RogerFéderer drawing dead to a 6th place finish for $333.

JohnnyNoCa$h has no chips; eliminated in 5th

It took 15 hands for the first knockout but only one more hand to get the second. It was the next hand when JohnnyNoCa$h repeated the actions of RogerFéderer and shoved while under the gun for less than a min-bet holding A♥T♥9♠9♦.

dimitar8008 saw the chance for another skin and isolated from the small blind with A♠Q♠9♥2♠. The pair of Nines were ahead until they both hit the A♦K♦4♠ flop but dimitar8008 was outkicking JohnnyNoCa$h.

The K♠ left him with just three outs going to the river and none appeared when it came 8♥. JohnnyNoCa$h had a good chance for a double but was sent out in 5th place for $555.

Kano A92 can't deal; eliminated in 4th

The turbo structure caught up to the stacks and the four remaining players attempted to make a deal when each of them were under 10 big blinds. The host tossed some ICM and chip chop numbers around but they couldn't reach an agreement. The biggest hold-out was dimitar8008 and he shut down the negotiations until another player was eliminated.

Once they were back in action, dimitar8008 stayed active and three-bet shoved after Kano A92 bet the pot. dimitar8008 was dealt another big starting hand with A♠A♥6♥3♥ and was ahead of Kano A92's A♦K♣9♠4♠. A possible comeback started with the K♥T♥5♠ flop but dimitar8008 knocked another out when he hit the J♥ turn for the nut flush.

Kano A92 wasn't able to talk dimitar8008 into making a deal and was eliminated next in 4th place for $1,000.

c03582 goes first to last; eliminated in 3rd

Despite mentioning trying another deal three-handed, not a word was said about it until the tournament was heads up. c03582 came to the final table with the chiplead and extended it temporarily with the big early pot. That lead couldn't hold up to the onslaught from dimitar8008 and he was at it again short after Kano A92 was sent to the rail.

dimitar8008 opened for a pot-sized bet, more than enough to put c03582 all-in. Since half his stack was already in the big blind, c03582 called with J♠T♦9♦3♠ and was against A♠K♦6♦5♠. It was a near pre-flop coin flip but dimitar8008 nailed the A♦2♦2♥ flop to leave c03582 looking for a perfect-perfect turn and river.

The 7♣ turn wasn't one of those perfect cards and c03582 was drawing dead to the 5♣ river. dimitar8008 extended his lead while c03582 was out in 3rd place for $1,667.

dimitar8008 runs the table to win Event #21

Seat 2: dimitar8008 (32,745,222 in chips)
Seat 4: Sousa7 (4,319,778 in chips)

dimitar8008 was holding a big chiplead at the start of heads up play but Sousa7 immediately doubled up on the first hand. They instantly paused the tournament to discuss a deal.

Tournament deals are a part of the game and happen all the time. dimitar8008 had a unique negotiating style and initially asked for enough money that would have given Sousa7 less than 2nd place money. He correctly turned down the offer and they were unable to come to terms.

Once they were back in the game, the heads up match lasted only two hands.

dimitar8008 was picking up big hands in key spots and did it again on the third hand against Sousa7. A♦Q♥Q♣9♥ had to look great to Sousa7 and he bet the pot before dimitar8008 came over the top with A♥A♣6♠2♣.

Sousa7 needed a lot of help to stay in the game but completely missed when the board when ran out 6♦3♦3♠7♠7♣. Sousa7 gave it a good shot but could not produce a big comeback. He was the final player eliminated in the tournament and picked up $2,335 for his runner-up position. dimitar8008 used a nice run of good luck and good timing to earn his first MicroMillions victory for $3,341.
