MicroMillions 4: leandroM13 leaps over RabbitNrAS to win Event #77 ($2.20 NL Omaha 6-Max, 3x-Turbo)

PLO too tame for your tastes? Or just looking to blow off a little steam? No-limit Omaha may be the medicine your inner degenerate needs. Forget about all that pot-repot stuff. Here you can shove that stack in whenever you'd like. Factor in the 6-Max, 3x-Turbo format and it's really no surprise Event #77 went from 7,591 players to a winner in less than six hours. Standing alone in the end was Brazil's leandroM13, who won a fierce heads-up battle with RabbitNrAS to win a MicroMillions title and over $10,000.

Event #77's 7,591 players made 34,788 rebuys and 3,180 add-ons to create a $91,118 prize pool. 960 places were paid with first place set to earn $13,672.23. Team Pro Martin Hruby was the lone Red Spade in this field, but he made an early exit.

With seven players remaining, blinds were up to 1.05M/2.1M. Cheese9 moved in for 9.8 million with A♣K♠7♣5♥ on the button and leandroM13 called from the big blind with A♠9♦7♣7♦. Although both players flopped a pair of sevens, leandroM13 picked up a flush draw as well and hit it on the turn, the board running out J♦7♠2♦5♦8♥ to send cheese9 to the rail on the final table bubble.

RabbitNrAS pounces on chepps

If the screen name j0hnyb0y sounds familiar to you, it's for good reason. The Estonian made the final table of the Sunday Million two weeks ago, finishing seventh for over $35k. J0hnyb0y got off to a smashing start at this one as well, picking up a 21 million pot from MarkBang when he picked up A♦A♥Q♠7♣ and made aces up on the flop. MarkBang rebounded by doubling up through chepps, his K♥K♦8♥6♦ making a full house against A♦Q♠Q♣T♣.

Chepps was left with 18 million and moved in preflop a few hands later with A♠J♠7♣5♥. RabbitNrAS reshoved for 45 million on the button, revealing A♦A♣9♦3♥. RabbitNrAS's aces held up on the J♣9♥2♣4♦8♣ board and chepps hit the rail in sixth place, earning $1,366.77.

MarkBang bows out in fifth, j0nhyb0y busts in fourth

On the very next deal, the action folded to MarkBang on the button. He open-shoved for 20.7 million with T♥8♣6♦5♥ and Ares24 called from the big blind with K♣Q♥T♣8♥. Ares24 flopped top pair vs. MarkBang's double-gutshot straight draw when the first three fell Q♦J♦7♥, but both players hit running hearts to make flushes, Ares24's the higher one. MarkBang was out in fifth place, collecting $2,277.95.

J0hnyb0y and RabbitNrAS were the next to clash. Both players checked the T♣3♣2♠ flop, but RabbitNrAS led out for 7.2 million when the T♦ hit the turn. The river was the Q♦ and RabbitNrAs moved all-in, having j0hnyb0y well-covered. J0hnyb0y elected to save his last 19 million and folded, RabbitNrAS raking in the 26 million pot.

Two hands later, the action folded to j0hnyb0y in the small blind. He open-shoved for his last 16.2 million with A♣Q♥6♣5♣ and Ares24 called from the big blind with J♠T♥7♠6♥. Ares24 hit top two pair on the T♦7♦4♥ flop, while j0hnyb0y had an open-ended straight draw. The Q♣ on the turn improved j0hnyb0y to a pair of queens but the river blanked out with the 2♥ to end his run in fourth place ($4,100.31).

Ares24 eliminated in third

With the blinds up to 1.2M/2.4M, the final three agreed to pause the action and discuss a deal. Here's a look at how their chip counts stood:

RabbitNrAS - 92,539,796
Ares24 - 65,104,075
leandroM13 - 64,893,129

The trio was presented with ICM numbers per their request and were quick to agree to them. With $800 still in play for the winner, cards went back in the air.

Five hands later, leandroM13 opened for a min-raise to 5.6 million on the button and Ares24 called from the big blind. Ares24 checked the 9♦6♥2♦ flop over to leandroM13, who bet 8.4 million. Ares24 check-raised all-in and leandroM13 called all-in for 40.8 million, revealing J♠T♦T♥4♠. LeandroM13's overpair was in good shape against Ares24's 9♥7♠5♣2♠, but Ares24 took the lead on the turn when the 7♦ fell to make him two pair. LeandroM13 needed an eight or a ten to survive and got the T♠ on the river to make a set and win the 111.7 million pot.

Ares24 was left with 20 million and open-shoved on the next hand with Q♦9♠8♣4♠ in the small blind. LeandroM13 called with Q♠J♣T♥T♦ and made trip jacks on the river, the board running out A♦6♠3♠J♦J♥ to send Ares24 home in third place. Thanks to the three-way deal, Ares24 made close to second-place money at $9,498.88.

Heads-up chip counts

Seat 5: leandroM13 (132,517,204 in chips)
Seat 6: RabbitNrAS (90,019,796 in chips)

This was a true see-saw match, the lead changing half a dozen times. RabbitNrAS snagged the top spot from leandroM13 on the first hand after turning a flush in a 56.5 million pot. However, leandroM13 quickly snatched it back when he pushed RabbitNrAS off a A♥Q♥7♣ flop with a three-bet. LeandroM13 moved up to 175 million after getting extremely lucky on the river in this 107 million pot, rivering trip aces after RabbitNrAS turned aces and kings:

Left with 47.7 million, RabbitNrAS led out for 9.6 million on a Q♥T♥4♠ flop with an overpair and the nut flush draw. LeandroM13 moved all-in with T♦9♥8♥4♦ for a pair and a gutshot straight flush draw and RabbitNrAS called with A♣A♥5♦3♥. RabbitNrAS hit his flush on the turn, the board finishing out with the 6♥ and the 3♦ to move him up to 102 million in chips.

RabbitNrAS climbed to 150 million before leandro13 doubled up to take the lead, his A♦K♥Q♦7♣ turning Broadway against RabbitNrAS's K♦J♠T♦9♦. LeandroM13 picked up another sizable pot a few hands later, adding another 58 million to his stack when RabbitNrAS check-folded to his 36 million river bet on a T♥3♣2♠K♣3♥ board.

Down to only 24.7 million with blinds of 1.8M/3.6M, RabbitNrAS was able to double up one more time, his A♥J♣5♥2♥ making the nut flush against leandroM13's trip fours. However, leandroM13 finished him off only two hands later. All-in on a A♥5♠3♠ flop, RabbitNrAS couldn't face leandroM13's flush draw and had to settle for second place.

Congratulations to leandroM13 on his first MicroMillions title! He took home $10,291.75 for the win, while runner-up RabbitNrAS banked $10,282.84.
