MicroMillions 6: Feli4ita goes wire to wire in Event #86 win ($1 NLHE)

Only eight months removed from a near-win in the MicroMillions 4, 4h1story had a second shot at the top spot. Although his third-place finish back in March ended up yielding the tournament's largest payday thanks to a deal, 4h1story was still looking for his first title. However, to get there, 4h1story had to dodge Hurricane Feli4ita. Buoyed by a two-outer when his pocket kings cracked pocket aces, Feli4ita took out three opponents in a row to seize the chip lead going into four-handed play. Then, with his own pair of pocket rockets, Feli4ita trumped 4h1story's top pair in a 67 million-chip pot, resigning him to another third-place finish. Feli4ita took a massive chip lead into heads-up play and although audifan gave him a run for his money, Feli4ita prevailed and took down his first MicroMillions title.

Anyone with a spare dollar knocking around their Stars account could have a go at this event and 28,702 turned out, creating a $26,118.82 prize pool. 3,600 places were paid with first place set to turn pocket change into $2,500.56.

Nearly ten hours after cards went in the air, the tournament reached the final table bubble with ten players remaining. The blinds up to 400,000/800,000, short stack gizea13 had only 560,120 remaining and shipped it in from under-the-gun. Audifan called from the small blind and rusu_2706 checked his option from the big. Audifan led out for 1.33 million on the 8♥7♦4♣ flop and rusu_2706 let his hand go. Audifan turned up K♠4♦, crushing gizea13's pocket threes. Gizea13 got no help from the A♣ turn and the J♣ river and exited in tenth place.

4h1story flushes kojo55kk

Kojo55kk limped onto the final table with less than 2 million in chips and was eliminated on the first hand. Rusu_2706 opened for a min-raise to 1.6 million, 4h1stroy called on the button and kojo55kk came along from the big blind. Kojo55kk bet his last 297,456 on the A♥6♦4♥ flop and both opponents called. Rusu_2706 and 4h1story checked down the 2♥ turn and the T♥ river, and kojo55kk turned up A♦5♠ for top pair. It was no match for 4h1story's flush with 9♥9♣ and kojo55kk hit the rail in ninth place, earning $130.59.

cleoricardo1 double-doubles

Kojo55kk's departure left cleoricardo1 as the final table's lone micro-stack, his 2.22 million stack representing less than three big blinds. However, cleoricardo1 got a reprieve when his A♠5♣ held up against amijubifc's 9♥6♠ in a pre flop all-in. Now armed with 5.65 million, cleoricardo1 four-bet shoved on the next hand and Ksenia95 called with 9♦9♣. Cleoricardo1 rolled over A♥A♠ and doubled again, this time to 12.3 million.

4h1story snaps off AA with KK

Moments later, it was rusu_2706's turn to pick up pocket aces. The blinds up to 500,000/1,000,000, 4h1story opened for a min-raise from UTG and rusu_2706 shoved for 4.2 million on the button. 4h1story snap-called, revealing pocket kings. Rusu_2706 survived the Q♦J♥3♥ flop, but the K♥ spiked on the turn to make 4h1story a set. The river was the 2♠ and rusu_2706 was suddenly on the rail in eighth place, collecting $222.00.

4h1story and Feli4ita trade the chip lead

With that two-outer, 4h1story moved up to 31.6 million, challenging Feli4ita for the chip lead. 4h1story took it outright after his A♦2♦ hit an ace-high flop vs. amijubifc. Amijubifc did 4h1story's bidding for him, betting the A♠6♥4♦ flop and the 9♠ turn for him. The 4♥ river paired the board and was a bit of an action killer, both players checking it down. Amijubifc mucked and 4h1story took down the 20 million-chip pot.

Feli4ita wasn't out of the chip lead for long before cleoricardo1 open-shoved for 10.6 million and Feli4ita reshoved from the small blind with A♦9♣. Although cleoricardo1 had him dominated with A♥K♦, Feli4ita flopped his kicker when the first three came down 9♠8♣2♣. Cleoricardo1 needed a king to survive, but got the 8♥ and the 4♣ instead. For seventh place, cleoricardo1 collected $326.48.

Feli4ita fells two

Down to only 5.9 million in chips with the blinds up to 600,000/1,200,000, amijubifc moved in from the button with 8♥8♠ and mzsharkyx called with 3♠3♣ in the big blind. Amijubifc's eights held up and he doubled to 13 million. However, only four hands later, Feli4ita made a small blind shove and amijubifc called all-in with A♠6♥. Feli4ita had him dominated with A♦7♠ and the board ran out K♣4♥3♠A♥8♣ to end his run in sixth place ($470.13).

Less than an orbit passed before Ksenia95 moved in for 10.4 million from UTG and Feli4ita called from the big blind. Feli4ita's A♦J♥ held up against K♠Q♠ and Ksenia95 hit the rail in fifth place, earning $705.20.

4h1story falls to Feli4ita

Up to 68 million after Ksenia95's KO, Feli4ita moved up to 83.5 million when he made a six-high straight against 4h1story:

4h1story sunk to 28 million, but reclaimed a few lost chips when mzsharkyx moved in for his last 5 million with J♥3♥. 4h1story called with Q♣6♠ and flopped a queen, sending mzsharkyx to the rail in fourth place ($940.27).

4h1istory moved up to 33.5 million, audifan was the short stack with 27.3 million and Feli4ita retained the chip lead with 82.6 million. However, on the very next deal, 4h1story and Feli4ita went to war on a J♠6♣2♥ flop. After three-betting pre, Feli4ita led out for 6 million and 4h1story shoved for 27.4 million. Feli4ita called, revealing A♣A♦ while 4h1story turned over top pair with K♥J♥. 4h1story picked up the nut flush draw when the A♥ turned, but Feli4ita's set held up when the Q♠ hit the river. Feli4ita raked in the 67.8 million pot while 4h1story departed in third place ($1,175.34).

Heads-up chip counts

Seat 3: audifan (26,601,566 in chips)
Seat 4: Feli4ita (116,908,434 in chips)

Audifan and Feli4ita immediately agreed to pause the action and run the math for a chop. However, audifan quickly realized there was little point to making a deal. Given the wide gulf between their chip counts, an ICM chop paid out almost exactly second place money to audifan, giving him only the potential to win an additional $300.

HostJoshuaC (Commentator): ok players. The ICM figures are as follows:
HostJoshuaC (Administrator): Feli4ita:$2,124.80
HostJoshuaC (Administrator): audifan:$1,887.36
HostJoshuaC (Administrator): Left To Play for place 1: $300.00
audifan: no point
Feli4ita: no
audifan: well lets just play?
Feli4ita: go

Audifan and Feli4ita took a small-pot approach, audifan slowly grinding his stack up to 36 million before he picked up pocket queens. Feli4ita four-bet shoved with A♥T♠ and audifan snap-called, his Q♣Q♦ holding up on the nine-high board. Audifan took a slight chip lead with 73.4 million to Feli4ita's 70.1 million.

Undeterred, Feli4ita mounted a comeback, pushing audifan off a 22.8 million pot on the turn to move up to 92.9 million. A few orbits later, Feli4ita three-bet to 6.4 million pre flop and fired another 6.4 million on the K♥9♣3♠ flop. The turn came the A♣ and Feli4ita made it 8 million to go. Audifan gave up his hand and Feli4ita dragged the 26 million pot, pushing his stack back over 100 million.

Four hands later, it was over when the river card made both players two pair. Audifan raised all-in with jacks up, but it wasn't enough to beat Feli4ita's kings up:

Congratulations to Russia's Feli4ita on his first MicroMillions title! He banked $2,500.56 for the win while runner-up audifan earned $1,811.60.
