MicroMillions 7: Big mann on campus, Amtsmann claims win in Event #26 [$2.20 NLHE 6-max, 2R1A]
Germany and Russia are normally trading partners but today's MicroMillion 7 Event #26 $2.20 NLHE 6-max, 2R1A tournament they were after a monopoly of the table's commodities. Tournament chips at the final table were valuable but not rare thanks to the 10,436 entrants throwing in an additional 13,780 rebuys and 3,581 add-ons to pump up the prize pool to $55,594.00. Germany would claim two of the final table seats, while Russia held three. But, it would be Germany's Amtsmann going away with the title and the largest share of the chop ($6,759.70) after a two-way split with Russia's JokepStar and Laziness[ Ru ].
Despite the rather enthusiastic rebuy period where 10,436 players managed to rack up 13,780 rebuys and 3,581 add-ons it would take eight and a half hours to reach the final two tables of six. Thanks to all those additions to the $55,594.00 prize pool the final twelve enjoyed an average chip stack of over 30 big blinds.
TiltOnMe11 (Denmark) and Kikkava (Ukraine) would take leave in 11th and 12th place respectively after 15 minutes earning $416.95 on their minimum two dollar investment. C.Tevezzz took a permanent tournament nap with the blinds at 200K/400K ante 50K after pushing a shortstack of 439,293 with 4♦A♠ and running into IgrauZaEdu's pocket jacks J♠J♦. After no ace appeared on the [8s Qd 2c Td] 7♠ board C.Tevezzz's head hit the pillow in 10th place ($416.95).
A double knockdown by JokepStar would bring the tournament to hand-for-hand play. With the blinds up to 250K/500K ante 62.5K gerstnero would open for a min-raise as JokepStar three-bet to 2.5 million. Serge Bouch in the big blind four-bet shoved for 2.9 million total as gerstnero and JokepStar called. Check-call for one million on the 9♥J♦3♥ flop by gerstnero and another check-call all-in for 6.4 million on the turned T♠ set a huge 24 million chip pot. gerstnero hit the nut straight on the turn K♣Q♥ whereas Serge Bouch's pocket sevens 7♦7♥ were now drawing dead. Still live was JokepStar's pocket tens T♦T♣ which managed to find the fourth ten in the deck T♥ on the river to claim the sizable pot and chip lead.
Hand-for-hand play would only last a few hands as shortstacked flushin87 would shove for 2.9 million from the cutoff as IgrauZaEdu made the call in the big blind with 4♣A♣. flushin87's 8♥K♠ failed to connect on the J♠ Q♣ 4♦ 7♦ 3♣ board locking up the six spots for today's Event #26 final table below:
Seat 1: IgrauZaEdu (39503578 in chips)
Seat 2: Laziness[ Ru ] (14579048 in chips)
Seat 3: JokepStar (26710933 in chips)
Seat 4: tianting (30425109 in chips)
Seat 5: Mikimaus (8147468 in chips)
Seat 6: Amtsmann (19618864 in chips)
Miki is missing
As the blinds moved up to 300K/600K ante 75K Mikimaus felt the pressure to seek a double-up a.s.a.p. and finding big slick A♥K♠ in the hijack seat was fortunate timing. Opening for 2.35 million all-in, Mikimaus watched the table fold to JokepStar sitting on 31 million in chips in the big blind and willing to gamble with 9♥T♠. The gamble was worth it for JokepStar as a ten hit the flop 4♦ 8♠ T♦ 2♥ 8♦ ending Mikimaus' MicroMillion run in sixth place ($779.42).
Amtsmann on the rise
With the blinds going up to 500K/1MM ante 125K the final table enjoyed these deep-ish stacks thanks to the mentioned rebuy period and low buy-in. IgrauZaEdu was not enjoying the final table after taking the chip lead in, IgrauZaEdu lost a huge 53.7 million chip pot to JokepStar and was forced to grind a shortstack. From the hijack seat IgrauZaEdu would raise to 2.2 million as Amtsmann made the call out of the big blind. J♣9♦3♣ on the flop got Amtsmann to check-call IgrauZaEdu's all-in bet. Top pair for Amtsmann J♠Q♥ was more than enough to put away IgrauZaEdu's ace-high 6♦A♦ after dodging a turned Q♦ flush draw that missed 8♠ on the river. For the consolation prize, IgrauZaEd took away $1,111.88 in fifth place.
Amtsmann adds up more winnings
A dozen hands later with the blinds holding at 500K/1MM ante 125K a sizable pot between Amtsmann and tianting broke out. With the board reading 6♦ 4♦ T♥ 9♥ a total of 59 million went into the middle. Check below who walked off with the chip lead and who caught fourth place money:
tianting's top pair K♦T♠ had some kicker problems against Amtsmann's T♦A♦ not to mention losing an out to the additional flush draw. 7♦ hit the unneeded flush that sent tianting away in fourth place ($2,223.76).
Pals for money
After a double-up by Laziness[ Ru ] the table decided to have a fairly quick chat about locking up the final three spots while leaving $500.00 aside for today's champ.
Amtsmann (Germany) $6,259.70
Laziness[ Ru ] (Russia) $4,824.56
Double-up earns an extra grand, but no more
Laziness[ Ru ] would actually claim the chip lead after the three-way split and looked to turn a 10 big blind stack against two much larger stacks into a MicroMillions victory. However after losing a 25 million chip pot to JokepStar, then another one for 26.8 million four hands later, Laziness[ Ru ] would be back on the shortstack with 22.5 million chip compared to 83.9 for JokepStar and 32.4 for Amtsmann. Laziness[ Ru ]'s 22 million chips hit the middle on the next hand holding T♣K♥ as Amtsmann made the call from the big blind with pocket tens T♦T♠. Nothing over a seven touched the 7♣ 4♥ 5♣ 3♦ 7♥ board as Laziness[ Ru ] received $4,824.56 in third place.
Big mann on campus
It would only take Amtsmann seven minutes to claim victory. Amtsmann would take a fortunate all-in post flop holding J♣8♦ against JokepStar's A♣Q♥ getting max value for hitting the eight on the 2♠ 4♦ 8♥ 3♣ T♠ board to take the 103 million chip pot and a 103 million to 35.9 million chip lead.
Three hands later with the blinds holding at 700K/1.4MM ante 175K ace-queen would go from opponent to title clinching hand. Watch below:
All-in prelfop as A♥Q♣ for Amtsmann held up over JokepStar's A♦6♣ on the K♣ 2♠ 9♥ 2♦ 3♠ board to claim the MicroMillions 7 Event #26 title and $6,759.70!
