MicroMillions III: Arty911 draws a win in Event #71 ($11 NLHE Turbo, SuperKnockout)
What makes a SuperKnockout different from all the other knockouts? Why, it's the size of the bounty, of course. Out of each $11 buy-in, $5.25 went to the prizepool and another $5.25 went to the bounty pool. Two KOs and you were basically freerolling, even without making the money. This final table was swift, fierce, and dominated by a single player, the Czech Republic's Arty911, who collected six more bounties as he rode his chip lead all the way to the winner's circle.
5,441 players lined up for this brawl, creating a $28,565.25 prize pool and a bounty pool of an equal amount. 720 places were paid, with first place set to earn $4.471.76. Team PokerStars Pro (and MicroMillions III Player of the Series leader) Marcin Horecki joined the action, but made an early exit.
With ten players remaining and blinds up to 70,000/140,000, RegentCD moved all-in from the small blind for 693,000. Arty911 called from the big, his A♥3♥ leading RegentCD's K♥9♣. Arty911 hit an ace on the flop and RegentCD couldn't catch him, exiting on the the final table bubble.

Four minutes, three eliminations
Poker_jh27 only lasted two hands at the final table, getting his last 1.7 million in with Q♣Q♠ only to run into AmsterB's A♦A♣. AmsterB flopped an ace for top set and although poker_jh27 hit one of the two remaining queens on the turn to give him one live out going to the river, he couldn't make lightning strike twice. Poker_jh27 was eliminated in 9th, collecting $228.52.
Moments later, AmsterB opened for a 336,000 raise and bonjo121 shoved for 1.72 million with T♣T♠. AmsterB called with A♣K♠ and won the coinflip with an ace on the flop. Bonjo121 had to settle for eighth place and a $357.06 reward.
Two hands after that, the action folded to bestM4N on the button. He open-shoved for 3 million with A♣8♠, only to run into Arty911's dominating A♦T♣ in the small blind. Arty911's kicker played on the A♠K♣3♦7♣4♥ board and bestM4N was on the rail in seventh, earning $642.71.
A-K beats A-K
The early onslaught of eliminations left Picerika as the short stack, his 660,000 representing little more than three big blinds. With 200,000 already committed in the big blind, Picerika was lucky enough to pick up A♦K♥, and doubled through Gvvleuten, who set him all-in with A♥8♠. It wasn't much of a hit to Gvvleuten's stack, but a few minutes later he was eliminated in ugly fashion. All-in with A♠K♥ against Arty911's A♣K♣, Gvvleuten watched in horror as Arty911 hit running flush cards on the 2♦Q♦8♣2♣6♣ board. Gvvleuten was suddenly out in sixth place, collecting $928.37.
nelitos9 and AmsterB bounced
Thanks to those last two eliminations, Arty911 led the pack with 13 million, AmsterB was in second with 6.2 million, and the three short stacks ranged for 2.1 to 2.7 million. Lilcrocop moved up to 5 million when his A♣2♣ rivered two pair against AmsterB's K♥J♦, but Arty911's roll couldn't be stopped. Nelitos9 made a small blind shove with A♣4♣, but didn't improve against Arty911's pocket eights. Arty911 collected another bounty and nelitos9 departed in fifth place with a $1,214.02 score.
Picerika doubled to 4.6 million when his A♦Q♦ made a straight against lilcrocop's K♦8♦. Left with only 1.3 million, lilcrocop rebounded by doubling through Arty911, his A♦6♣ flopping an ace against 8♠8♣. On the next hand, AmsterB open-shoved for 3.35 million with Q♣T♣ and lilcrocop was there with a call, turning over K♣J♥ in the big blind. Lilcrocop's king-high held up, leaving AmsterB on less than one big blind. AmsterB managed to pick up A♠J♠ on the next deal, but couldn't overcome Picerika's J♦J♥. For fourth place, AmsterB picked up $1,613.93.
Arty911 in control
As play turned three-handed, Arty911 still held a commanding chip lead with 16.5 million. Lilcrocop was second with 5.9 million, and Picerika was the short stack with 4.8 million. With the blinds up to 200,000/400,000, Picerika had one move left, all-in, and just so happened to pick up A♣A♠ when lilcrocop opened for 1,000,000. Lilcrocop called with A♦9♥ and Picerika doubled to 9.2 million.
Left with less than a small blind, the last of lilcrocop's chips went in on the next hand with J♣7♣. This time, it was Arty911 who just so happened to pick up pocket aces and lilcrocop was eliminated in third place, earning $2,356.63.
Heads-up chip counts
Seat 3: Arty911 (17,537,270 in chips)
Seat 6: Picerika (9,667,730 in chips)
Despite the shallow stacks that left very little room for error, the lead changed five more times before a winner emerged. Picerika doubled to 18.4 million with A♥Q♦ against A♠3♥, only to give it back to Arty911 four hands later when his K♣T♠ turned a ten against Picerika's K♠J♣. Arty911 called Picerika's shove on a 2♠4♥T♠5♦6♦ board, turning over 2♣6♥ for two pair, only to be shown 3♥9♥ for the straight. Arty911 doubled to 20 million when his pocket eights won a flip against A♣Q♦, but the pendulum swung right back to Picerika when his K♣Q♦ turned a king against A♣8♣.
Their chip counts nearly even, Arty911 ground his lead back through a string of blind steals and small pots, chipping up to 17.5 million. Then, with 8.1 million behind, Picerika moved in on a K♦5♣4♣ flop. Arty911 called and although both had flopped a pair, Arty911's was the larger:
Congratulations to Arty911 on going wire-to-wire to win a MicroMillions title. He picked up $4,471.86 while runner-up Picerika earned $3,327.85.
