2011 SCOOP satellites underway

SCOOP logo 2010.gifBoy, those folks behind the scenes at PokerStars work fast, huh? It's not been a week since they released the 2011 Spring Championship of Online Poker schedule. I just loaded up the PokerStars software to discover not only have the SCOOP satellites been deployed, but the first one just finished a few minutes ago.

Just like the tournament series itself, the slate of satellites has buy-ins that are affordable for any bankroll. A quick perusal of the qualifiers on offer show buy-ins as low as 25 cents (really...25 cents?) to get into a SCOOP tourney.

Beginning May 8 and running through May 22, SCOOP promises $45 million guaranteed prize money (which you can just about bet your life will be left tattered and lifeless by the time the buy-ins are counted).

For the uninitiated, SCOOP offers three buy-in levels for every one of its events. Play one, play them all. Play whatever you want. For now, play satellites, because you can get in cheap.

Click on EVENTS > SCOOP > and CASH SATELLITES to see what the tourney managers have cooked up so far You're bound to find something that suits your taste.

Last year, SCOOP awarded more than $63 million in prize money, including the $1,162,350 toetagU won in the high buy-in level main event. Now it's time to see what you can do with this year's schedule.

If you have a quarter in your account, you can start now. Go. Be fruitful. You can thank me later (I accept empanadas or cold drinks in repayment).
