SCOOP 2013: Two players to vie for elusive Triple COOP
When the 2013 Spring Championship of Online Poker begins a week from Sunday, two PokerStars players will be vying for the elusive Triple COOP crown, an as-yet-unawarded laurel for people who have won WCOOP, TCOOP, and SCOOP titles. There are more than a few people out there who have two of the three, but only two need SCOOP wins to complete the trifecta.
Petersen, meanwhile, won his WCOOP title in 2010, beating out exactly 9,000 other players in a $215 six-handed no-limit hold'em contest for a first prize of more than $257,000. Then in 2012, Petersen won $28,455 in a TCOOP tourney.
The Spring Championship of Online Poker kicks off a week from Sunday with $40,000,000 in guaranteed money over the course of 44 events (each with three buy-ins to suit almost any bankroll).
The PokerStars Blog will have full coverage of every final table, and we'll be keeping a very close eye on Karamalikis and Petersen as they vie for the first Triple COOP in PokerStars history.
