SCOOP Player of the Series will head to the Bahamas
The appeals of this weekend's 2015 Spring Championship of Online Poker have a lot to offer: millions in guaranteed prize money, hundreds of tournaments to play, titles upon titles to win.
It's all quite nice, and you'd gladly take any of it, I'm sure.
But did anyone mention that a top performance could land you here?
If you don't know the iconic backdrop there, you're looking at Atlantis, home of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure. It could be your home for a week in January.
This year, the winner of the overall SCOOP Player of the Series title gets $10,000, a pretty trophy, and a full $16,000 PCA Main Event package. Once there, you could be in line to win another million or so. If not, you've got a week in paradise with a card room waiting for you at night.
SCOOP runs May 10-24 and will host 46 events consisting of 138 individual tournaments. In all, those tourneys are guaranteeing $40,000,000 in prize money. But, hey, let's just say it aloud: there will be a lot more than $40 million involved. Last year's SCOOP pulled in more than $80 million in prize money.
All the while, we'll have a team of people with abacuses in a hidden bunker who will tally every single player's record and see who does the best. There is $100,000 worth of prizes overall. Each buy-in level can win everything from small tourney tickets all the way up to $5,200 WCOOP Main Event tickets. You can see the full break down of prizes and details on how points are awarded on the SCOOP Player of the Series page.
SCOOP begins Sunday at 8am ET. You'll have four events (12 tournaments!) to play before taking a break for the night. After that, you have two full weeks of fun and a chance to be the one player who wins a trip to paradise.
