goodvibe1 wins Sunday Million for over $200,000

The Sunday Million produced another huge field as the biggest online tournament of the week drew over 7,000 entrants. Each paid $215 to send the $1,412,600 prizepool well over the guarantee.

It took nearly 11 hours for the players to knock each other around and get themselves deep into the tournament. The biggest name of those remaining near the end was 2011 World Series of Poker Europe Main Event champion Elio "smokrokflock" Fox.

He was showing his skill as the number of tables dropped and he entered final table play 3rd in chips after superhands33 was knocked out in 10th place. Fox spent much of the time at or near the top of the leaderboard but it took some bad luck to end his shot at $200k.

Final Table Chip Counts:

Seat 2: goodvibe1 (9,467,361 in chips)

Seat 4: mitdadu (5,629,305 in chips)

Seat 7: Farzinem (10,084,656 in chips)

mitdadu rivers two pair, eliminated in 9th

It only took an orbit for the final table to produce the first elimination and the stacks were deep enough that the last blow came on the river.

Action folded to Fox in the small blind and he raised to 615,000. mitdadu came along in the big blind to see the 4♥8♠7♦ flop. Fox led out again for 675,444 after the flop and mitdadu called.

Fox bet another 1,540,222 after the A♥ turn and mitdadu decided to call once again. Fox moved all-in having mitdadu covered after the 9♠ river and was instantly called.

mitdadu probably thought 9♣8♦ for rivered two pair was good until Fox showed J♦T♠ for the river gutshot. mitdadu was knocked out in 9th place for $10,947.65.

Snowmen no good for horner26, eliminated in 8th

The chipstack for horner26 slowly dwindled as the other players were pushing hands aggressively. horner26 found a hand to take a shot with and moved all-in for 2,688,008 with 8♣8♦.

David Buetta was one of the more aggressive players in the later stages of the tournament but needed no finesse to call from the button with K♥K♠.

horner26 needed a lot of help but it never appeared after the board ran out 7♦7♥9♣4♠A♥ and the UK-based player was eliminated in 8th place for $16,951.20.

profatmo outfoxed, eliminated in 7th

Fox was sitting with a healthy chiplead after the first two eliminations and used his stack as a weapon. profatmo was the shortest stack at the table with just over five big blinds and pushed them in after Fox min-raised.

Fox called the small move with K♥7♣ and was behind A♥T♠.

profatmo's double up hopes did not last long, just until the K♦6♥2♣ flop leaving just the remaining Aces to help. Nothing happened with the 7♥ turn and the night for profatmo was complete on the Q♦ river in 7th place for $30,370.90.

13pacman13 straigtened out, eliminated in 6th

goodvibe1 was quiet for most of the final table but the German picked a good time to announce his presence.

He raised from the button and 13pacman13 called in the big blind to the T♠9♥3♦ flop. The both checked and the Q♣ hit the turn. 13pacman13 opened for 800,000 and goodvibe1 called to see the K♦ river.

13pacman13 bet all-in for 3,317,878 with K♣J♠ for the turned straight but was crushed when goodvibe1 showed A♠J♥ for the rivered Broadway straight. 13pacman13 was unlucky to be knocked out in 6th place for $43,790.60.

trashtalk99 loses blind battle, eliminated in 5th

Fox once again stayed aggressive with another open-raise but didn't stick around long for the next knockout. Farzinem moved all-in from the small blind and trashtalk99 called in the big blind while Fox let his hand go.

trashtalk99 and Farzinem had similar stack sizes when they went in the middle and they were racing in the hand.

Farzinem: 8♦8♥
trashtalk99: A♦K♦

Farzinem needed the board to stay low to pick up the KO and got just that with the 9♣4♥3♦ flop. There was no race winner on the 6♦ turn or 9♥ and trashtalk99 was sent out in 5th place for $57,916.60.

No deal for David Buetta, elimianted in 4th

The four remaining players made a token attempt to work out a deal but huge chiplead Fox was having none of it without a little incentive thrown his way. Farzinem shut down that kind of talk.

smokrokflock: im gonna want extra
smokrokflock: if some1 is willing to give that upp
smokrokflock: lets look

Farzinem: sorry i dont give away any extra

Farzinem than began the process of removing a large chunk of the WSOPE Main Event champions stack. But Fox was not involved in the next major hand.

Farzinem opened from the button to 1,200,000 and David Buetta three-bet shoved for 6,652,114. Not about to stay on the sidelines with a big hand, goodvibe1 four-bet all-in behind for 13,027,432.

Farzinem considered for just a little bit before calling both all-ins to create a huge pot.

goodvibe1: Q♦Q♠
Farzinem: A♣Q♥
David Buetta: A♠7♥

Both goodvibe1 and David Buetta were at risk but the 3♠Q♣5♠ gave Fox a virtual lock on the hand. The J♣ had goodvibe1's opponents drawing dead for the triple up and David Buetta was knocked out in 4th place for $74,867.80.

smokrokflock flies out, eliminated in 3rd

Elio "smokrokflock" Fox was a huge chipleader late at the final table but things went south as soon as he asked for extra money and Farzinem refused.

Fox eventually took a shot and moved in for his last 4,000,000 and it was Farzinem who did the heavy lifting of knocking out the bracelet winner with a call.

Farzinem: A♦T♦
smokrokflock: K♣9♦

Fox was holding live cards at the start of the hand but the A♣7♦6♣ flop was unkind. The K♠ gave a brief glimpse of a possible double but the 2♥ was a blank and Fox was eliminated after a deep run in 3rd place for $113,008.

goodvibe1 makes a deal then wins Sunday Million

The heads-up negotiations were far more civilized with goodvibe1 holding a 5-to-2 chiplead. After the deal, Farzinem was guaranteed an extra $6k if things ended as they were sitting.

With the deal formalities out of the way, the two played just five more hands before the night was complete.

goodvibe1 opened on the button to 1,600,000 and Farzinem three-bet the final 15,505,231 with T♦T♣. goodvibe1 called with an overcard Ace holding A♣5♦. Farzinem was alive for the double up after the K♦Q♥6♦ flop but things went downhill quickly when the 5♠ hit the turn and the 5♥ river to finish the tournament.

Farzinem did well to earn maximum pay moving up the ladder to 2nd place for $162,051.39 while goodvibe1 added to his over $2,000,000 in online career earnings with $205,751.97 for the victory.
