Sunday Million: dreammancy weaves a $181k win
From the moment it began, this final table had seven Davids chasing two towering Goliaths. With nine to go, akport and dreammancy controlled 58.3% of the chips in play while everyone else had less than twenty big blinds. Although madd2cz made a good run for the top spot, he fell short in third place, leaving our powerhouses heads-up for the title. Ultimately, dreammancy prevailed and took home over $181,000 along with his first Sunday Million title.
6,247 players bought in to this week's Million, creating a $1,249,400 prize pool. 900 places were paid with first place set to earn $190,037.61. A half dozen Red Spades were scattered through the field, including Caio Pessagno, Bryan Huang, Martin Hruby, Stavros "IDOLLS" Kalfas and Feliz "xflixx" Schneiders. However, all of them finished out of the money.
Blinds were up to 125,000/250,000 with ten players left, the average stack just under 25 big blinds. R3V3NGE_911 was the shortest stack remaining and he shoved for his last 1.63 million from UTG. Akport called from UTG+1 and dreammancy open-folded A♦6♥ in the big blind. Akport's A♥J♠ had R3V3NGE_911's A♣2♠ dominated, the board running out Q♠8♥7♣T♠7♦ to send him home on the final table bubble.

Slow, slow, quick, quick, quick
After an entire level of exchanging small pots, the action finally got moving when madd2cz snapped off litofcas11's pocket sevens, ending his run in ninth place. Moment later, tight victor moved in for his last 1.9 million from UTG and madd2cz three-bet to 3.4 million on the button to isolate. Tight victor's A♥J♥ didn't improve vs. madd2cz's pocket kings and he exited in eighth place.
On the very next deal, dreammancy opened for a 3x raise to 1.2 million and blazeandwin shoved for 2.3 million from the big blind with 6♣6♥. Blazeandwin was dismayed to see dreammancy turn up Q♣Q♥, the board running out K♣T♥7♥Q♠8♠ to send blazeanwin to the rail in seventh place.
Shorties double and bust
With the blinds up to 200,000/400,000, magocapria27 three-bet shoved for his last eight big blinds on the button and akport called, his J♦T♦ up against A♥Q♠. Magocapria27 made aces up and doubled to 7.32 million. Magocapria27's double-up left us with two micro-stacks among the final six-- dupitoxx with 2 million and clusterhache with 1.2 million. Facing the 400,000 big blind on the next deal, clusterhache shoved with Q♠7♦ from UTG and madd2cz called from the big blind with Q♣9♥. Both players flopped a queen but madd2cz's kicker played on the Q♦8♣5♥T♥A♣ board, eliminating clusterhache in sixth place ($39,980.80).
Dupitoxx doubled to 4.8 million when his A♦Q♣ held up against akport's A♠8♥, but he couldn't make it two for two. Holding A♥J♠, dupitoxx open-shoved for 3.24 million from the cutoff and dreammancy called with 3♦3♣ from the big blind. Dreammancy's pocket threes held on the ten-high board and dupitoxx was out in fifth, earning $52,474.80.
U madd bro?
Early in the 250,000/500,000 level, the action folded to magocapria27 in the small blind. Magocapria27 moved all-in with 4♥8♥ on a steal, only to run into madd2cz's pocket nines. A J♥5♣3♣J♦A♠ board sent magocapria27 to the rail in fourth place, good for $68.717.00.
Shortly after play turned three-handed, madd2cz, dreammancy and akport agreed to pause the action and discuss a potential deal. Here's a look at how they stacked up:
madd2cz - 25,482,141
dreammancy - 21,576,116
akport - 15,411,743
A three-way chip count chop awarded madd2cz $145k, dreammancy $128k and akport $127k. Madd2cz told his opponents he wanted at least $170k from the deal, despite the fact that $20,000 would still be left in play for the winner. Dreammancy wasn't having any of that and with negotiations at a standstill, cards went back in the air.
It didn't take long before a preflop raising war broke out between madd2cz and dreammancy. Madd2cz opened for a min-raise to 1 million, dreammancy three-bet to 2.5 million and madd2cz shoved for 15.9 million. Dreammancy called, his A♣T♠ up against 7♦7♠. Dreammancy flopped an ace, the board finishing A♦K♠2♠5♠3♥ to end madd2cz's run in third place ($99,952.00).
Heads-up chip counts
Seat 6: dreammancy (43,758,207 in chips)
Seat 9: akport (18,711,793 in chips)
Akport and dreammancy didn't waste a second and immediately paused the action to take another crack at a deal. This time, both players quickly agreed to the chip count chop numbers and with $20,000 still up for grabs, cards went back in the air.
Dreammancy chipped up to 49.5 million via small pots before seeing a K♣J♥4♦ flop for a min-raise. Both players checked and the J♣ came on the turn. Dreammancy bet 3 million and akport called. The river was the 4♠ and dreammancy checked. Akport checked behind, but couldn't beat dreammancy's K♥9♥. Dreammancy moved up to 53.7 million, leaving akport on only 8.7 million.
It was all over four hands later. Akport open-shoved with Q♣9♥ but did not improve against dreammancy's K♦Q♠:
Kudos to dreammancy on his first Sunday Million title! He banked $181,207.36 for the win, while runner-up akport earned $149,387.75.
