"all in 2526" raises the win in 7/1/14 Super Tuesday

While Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu was busy winning over $8 million in the biggest buy-in poker event in the world, a field of 406 players were taking their seats in the biggest weekly online tournament in the world. It may not have been labelled as "big" but it was certainly "super" as a prize pool of $406,000 was created for the PokerStars $1,050 Super Tuesday.

It was another truly international affair, bu after almost eleven hours of duking it out on the virtual felt we were left with two players who both hailed from Israel. There was no friendly fire here as the two compatriots went at it until "all in 2526" was left standing on top to claim the title and $77,911.40 in prize money.

Team PokerStars was represented today by Caio Pessagno as the lone PokerStars red spade in the field, but he was unable to reach the money as the top 54 players would take home a profit. When the UK's judgedredd13 fell in 55th place the remaining players had locked up $2,030 for their efforts as they then settled in for the grind towards the final table.

An interesting dynamic was created when Sweden's ISILDRooN was forced to sit out from the tournament with around twenty players remaining. We're not sure if ISILDRooN had somewhere else important to be, or perhaps was experiencing technical difficulties, but as one of the chip leaders at the time, ISILDRooN's dead stack was left to fend for itself as the final table approached.

Some of the players were probably hoping to see ISILDRooN blind out as the dead chips were attacked by the other players, but ISILDRooN had such an impressive stack that many live players would meet their fate before ISILDRooN's entire stack was under threat.

When tom0202 unsuccessfully cold four-bet jammed with ace-queen into hellzito's pocket kings, the final table of nine were set as follows:

Final Table Line up

Seat 1: hellzito (227,083 in chips)
Seat 2: all in 2526 (412,708 in chips)
Seat 3: ISILDRooN (103,676 in chips) [sitting out]
Seat 4: andr701 (110,709 in chips)
Seat 5: holy h3ll (73,302 in chips)
Seat 6: 72-0S (90,817 in chips)
Seat 7: cheezees (56,918 in chips)
Seat 8: hdjgkfkgsdl (403,357 in chips)
Seat 9: DEdgge (551,430 in chips)

The final table blinds kicked off at 2,400/4,800/600 but it would take just one hand to lose our first player.

With a raise in front, cheezees, who won the Super Tuesday only two weeks ago moved all in with A♥K♦. all in 2526 was in the small blind with A♠Q♠ and decided to make the call as the original raisor got out of the way. cheezees was in good shape to double up but the board would fall J♦Q♣5♥J♣5♦ to spike the three-outer queen for all in 2526 for the knockout. cheezees took home $6,739.60 for ninth place in another fine Super Tuesday performance.

A few orbits passed, further eating up the stack of ISILDRooN who slipped onto the short stack of the field, but that didn't slow the action. holy h3ll moved all in from the cutoff with A♠J♠ after DEdgge had opened from under the gun. The blinds folded but DEdgge wasn't going anywhere with A♣K♦, improving to a flush on the board of 8♣7♦3♣4♣T♣. That left holy h3ll on the rail in eighth place for $9,135 in prize money.

andr701 landed a double up with ace-ten against all in 2526's ace-six to find some breathing room, but Austria's 72-0S wasn't quite as fortunate. 72-0S moved all in from the cutoff position with K♦K♣ as chip leader DEdgge made the call in the small blind holding A♠Q♥. The kings were cracked wide open when the board of 4♥T♥J♥3♥7♣ presented four hearts and with DEdgge holding the only heart, 72-0S was sent crashing to the rail. 72-0S picked up $13,195 for seventh place.

Incredibly ISILDRooN had jumped another pay jump without playing a hand for nearly two hours. A few more orbits passed and ISILDRooN's last chips were finally blinded out in sixth place. We hope that all is ok for ISILDRooN and that $17,255 in prize money is some compensation for the unfortunate disappearance.

With the dead stack finally out of the way, it would take just two more hands to lose our next player.

hellzito put in a three-bet preflop and then called it off with J♠J♣ as DEdgge continued to push the big stack holding 8♠8♦ however the community cards were cruel as the board landed 9♣8♥A♦4♦9♥. DEdgge spiked a set and improved to a full house to see hellzito unlucky to go in fifth place for $22,736.00 in prize money.

By this stake, DEdgge had virtually half the chips in play with andr701 in desperate trouble as the short stack of the quartet.

andr701 stuck around long enough to see all in 2526 double up after hdjgkfkgsdl got a little aggro with the old T♥6♥. hdjgkfkgsdl four-bet all in but all in 2526 wasn't going to let go of pocket queens to land a crucial double up.

andr701 had to make a move and with just over seven big blinds, andr701 moved all in with A♥3♠ but ran straight into all in 2526's dominant A♦K♠. The board ran out 2♦9♥6♠8♦A♠ to leave andr701 to pick up $32,480 for fourth place.

The final three players then entered into an epic battle that would take a full ninety minutes to resolve.

hdjgkfkgsdl was the early aggressor, winning a lot of pots without showdown to close to deficit on DEdgge, and when DEdgge decided to make a triple-barrel call down, hdjgkfkgsdl showed up with a flopped set to take over the chip lead.

DEdgge was quickly slipping out of contention, but a double up with ace-king against hdjgkfkgsdl's ace-jack helped to shift the momentum.

all in 2526 found pocket aces to further dent hdjgkfkgsdl, but those chips would be passed across to DEdgge who got lucky with ace-nine out-flopping all in 2526's ace-king to double up once again.

When DEdgge flopped a set of fours, hdjgkfkgsdl was suddenly the one under pressure and the final nail in the coffin was delivered when hdjgkfkgsdl three-bet with A♥3♠ into all in 2526's T♠T♦. The board bricked out 2♣K♥8♠9♠6♦ to see the tens hold and eliminate hdjgkfkgsdl in third place for a $42,630 score.

Heads-up chip counts
Seat 2: all in 2526 (577,014 in chips)
Seat 9: DEdgge (1,452,986 in chips)

It was an all-Israeli battle for the title and it didn't take long for these two to collide with an all-in confrontation on just the second hand of heads-up play. The chips would go flying on a board of K♥J♥7♣5♠ with DEdgge pushing with A♥9♥ for a flush draw and overcard with all in 2526 making the call with K♦T♦ for top pair. The river would be the very bricky 2♣ to see all in 2526 double through and take over the chip lead.

DEdgge was able to fight back with a couple of non-showdown pots but when all in 2526 was able to win fourteen pots in a row, the momentum was running entirely the way of all in 2526.

DEdgge had to make a stand and so when all in 2526 raised and then four-bet all in preflop, DEdgge was looking at A♦5♥ and had to make a tough decision. After some time in the think tank, DEdgge produced a call for tournament life but all in 2526 had the goods with A♥T♦. The final board was spread A♠9♥3♠4♣8♥ to decide our champion!

DEdgge took home $57,855 for a fantastic runner-up result, but the Super Tuesday title went to compatriot all in 2526, along with $77,911.40 in prize money. Congratulations!
