Sunday Warm-Up: X marks the spot, Xading wins after three-way deal

Thumbnail image for Sunday Warm-Up logo NEW.PNG100 tournaments in 10 day, can you say busy much? The MicroMillions main event drew 54,065 players tonight with a guarantee busting $1.08 million prize pool capping off a successful run for our micro-stakes players who got the same coverage as our big time tournaments for the past week and a half. Now our online coverage returns to big names and bright lights of the Sunday Majors starting with the $500,000 guarantee Sunday Warm-up. Despite the frenzy of the MicroMillions, 3,272 players managed the $215 buy-in for a shot at the $102,741.70 first place prize.

Team PokerStars Pros put up a good fight today as Ana Marquez (556th place) and Angel Guillen (510th place) came fairly close to the money. Two Pros however would be included with the 495 players in the cash. Victor Ramdin would take home $490.80 in 230rd place as Romania's Toni Judet got wrapped up in a three-way pot. With the blinds at 4K/8K ante 800 BILLIE1971x shoved UTG for 65,568 as wpr101 reshoved for 165,116. Holding Q♠A♠ Judet joined the party for 57,457 chips. Despite flopping two spades 9♣ 9♠ 6♠ T♦ 3♣ Toni's Sunday Warm-up is done in 156th place ($687.12).

PokerStars Greece challenger Stavros "IDOLLS" Kalfas 57th place ($1,177.92) and former challenger Alexis "J0hnny_Dr@m@" Zervos 31st place ($1,472.40) would make a decent run as well tonight as only 16 players would make it to the ninth hourly break.

slm022 was trying to make a return to the Sunday Warm-up final table but was denied a chance after finishing in 15th place ($2,944.80). jonyctt would run 3♠A♠ into the nut flush 9♦A♦ of Sharker_PL on the Q♣ 8♦ 3♦ 2♦ 8♠ board to end the night in 13th place ($2,944.80) followed quickly by athernu in 12th place ($3,926.40).

Sharker_PL would also take down nanuHa_do4ka in 11th place starting up a very brief hand-for-hand session. Brief due to the all-in at the opposite table between tatwaffe19 and tollgate. With blinds at 80K/160K ante 16K tatwaffe19 would shove a small stack from the cutoff for 673,859 as tollgate made the call in the big blind holding 9♣J♣. A♥Q♠ gave hope for tatwaffe19 until the jack and nine hit the flop. To end things without a need for the river tollgate would boat up by the turn J♥ 9♠ 8♥ J♦ K♠ taking down the 1.5 million chip pot and starting up the final table below:

Seat 1: tollgate (3324589 in chips)
Seat 2: akport (4624651 in chips)
Seat 3: EspBju (3800596 in chips)
Seat 4: DALO013 (1765844 in chips)
Seat 5: Xading (2973298 in chips)
Seat 6: jason jiang (1926576 in chips)
Seat 7: Sharker_PL (4599318 in chips)
Seat 8: swissman29 (3598692 in chips)
Seat 9: Madcandle (6106436 in chips)

Swiss cheese

After swissman29 doubled up Xading he was left with just 105,394 chips and two hands later the hail mary pass went up getting calls from EspBju and Xading as Jason jiang checked in the big blind. K♣8♦9♣ flopped and EspBju got everyone out with a bet of 200,000. 7♦ and 3♥ peeled off the turn and river as swissman29 turned up queen-high after the club flush draw missed and EspBju's pair of kings K♥J♥ would take it down as swissman29's ninth place finish was worth $5,235.20. This was swissman29's second major final table of 2012 after making the TCOOP Main Event final table and finishing seventh for $45K.

New chips become someone else's

EspBju would hand those newly found chips to akport on the very next hand for a 6.4 million chip pot thus getting knocked down to just over 700K. With the blinds at 100K/200K ante 20K after grinding through six hands, EspBju would raise barely over the top of akport's min-raise as DALO013 called from the big blind and akport called the extra 9,990. Both live players would check it down as EspBju turned up queen-high T♥Q♦ on the 5♣ 2♥ 7♣ A♥ 8♣ board but DALO013's king-high K♦9♠ out pipped the Norwegian ending EspBju's night in eighth place ($8,180.00).

Cannot hold a light to a higher kicker

On the very next hand Madcandle would over shove from UTG+1 as it folded around to jason jiang in the big blind holding A♦J♠ and enough chips to make the call. Madcandle held a jack as well but the queen kicker Q♦J♦ would be the problem as the lady-less 7♦ J♥ 4♣ 2♠ T♣ board would extinguish the light of Madcandle in seventh place ($14,724.00).

Collected chips soon depart

EspBju left soon after taking out swissman, and now jason jiang would be mostly all-in in this hand below against Xading for a 8.9 million chip pot.

Xading pulled up aces A♦A♣ as the unlucky jason jiang found queens Q♥Q♣ at the wrong time. No miracle on the 4♥ 8♠ 5♠ 3♦ T♥ board and 8.9 million chips slid to Xading. The next hand jason jiang's pocket nines 9♥9♠ would get run down 6♣ A♠ K♥ T♠ 7♣ by Sharker_PL's T♦A♦ to end the night in sixth place ($21,268.00). jason jiang took advantage of the MicroMillions offerings and made the Event #6 final table taking $3.3K.

One unpaid toll

Five-handed play felt like it was running a long time after the quick eliminations as the blinds ramped up to 150K/300K ante 30K and tollgate down to a bit over two million chips decided to open shove from the small blind as akport holding pocket nines 9♥9♦ made the call. tollgate would need some help with the suited 7♥Q♥. A seven and one heart would come off, but nothing more K♥ 7♦ 6♣ 4♣ 5♣ as tollgate ran out of change in fifth place ($27,812.00). Definitely not tollgate's first major final table after chopping the Sunday Million last year for $153K.

Shark bait

A few hands after the 11th hourly break and blinds at 250K/500K ante 50K Sharker_PL would shove a shortened stack of 1.6 million from the cutoff holding A♦8♠ as Xading quickly made the call from the big blind holding jacks J♣J♦. Eight on the flop but nothing beyond as the 8♣ 7♠ Q♥ K♣ 6♠ board ended Sharker_PL's night in fourth place ($37,628.00).

Chop talks would start immediately after Sharker_PL's leave as Team Online's Diego Brunelli was kind enough to assist the players toward financial security. After a lengthy chat the remaining three took the deal below leaving $10,000.00 for the winner.

Xading: $88,331.65
akport: $74,962.85
DALO013: $60,000.00

X marks the spot

After the deal it seemed like the threesome would play for an extended amount of time. Then two hands after the blinds moved up to 300K/600K ante 60K the table would quickly unravel. First, Xading would open shove from the small blind applying pressure on akport. The ace A♦2♣ in akport's hand had other ideas and made the call. 8♥Q♥ for Xading needed some help and got it immediately on the door Q♠ 9♣ 4♦ 6♣ 6♠ to ship akport out in third place.

The very next hand you will need to watch below:

No stopping this one as both players liked their hands enough preflop to flip for control of the tournament. Pocket sevens 7♠7♦ for DALO013 and a suited J♥A♥ for Xading. And once again the pair would appear on the door A♠ 9♦ J♦ K♦ T♠ as Xading's flopped two pair would earn the extra $10,000.00 and the Sunday Warm-Up title!
