Sunday Warm-Up: pay the toll, tollgate scores $87K after three-way deal

Thanks to the overflow of players flocking to the ninth anniversary of the Sunday Million 3,494 players would pump up the prize pool to $698,800.00 for this week's Sunday Warm-Up. Our champ, tollgate, showed the practice makes perfect having been at the Sunday Warm-Up final table before and claiming $87,000.00 after a three-way chop with dasman13 and Bigdaft.

Read below on tollgate's run to the title:

Coming back from the ninth hourly break the field of 16 would whittle down to hand-for-hand play in just 20 minutes.

SCOOP 2012 Event # 34-M champ C. Darwin2 was back and looking for another Sunday Warm-Up final table. After making the final table here twice (most recently just a few weeks ago) the Swede would just miss another big payday in 11th place ($4,192.80) when tens ran into the jacks of Bigdaft.

On the final table bubble, luckyno75's stack looked like it double in size holding J♥K♥ against magularo's pocket tens T♥T♦ with a king on the flop and two hearts by the turn 6♦8♥K♦9♥. However the 7♦ would prevent the two-time Women's Sunday champ from continuing as the final table started up below:

Seat 1: mathaaaa (1558372 in chips)
Seat 2: Bigdaft (11693946 in chips)
Seat 3: Lockerl71 (1728603 in chips)
Seat 4: magularo (2522511 in chips)
Seat 5: syvers007 (5167461 in chips)
Seat 6: pudikkkkk (735070 in chips)
Seat 7: dr_upswing90 (1898515 in chips)
Seat 8: dasman13 (6423058 in chips)
Seat 9: tollgate (3212464 in chips)

Bigdaft brought in the big stack and would be the first to assist removing players from the table. Just a few minutes into the end game pudikkkkk, down to only 449,070 chips with blinds at 65K/130K ante 13K would shove over a min-raise from Bigdaft. The chip leader had no problem covering the bet and showed the goods Q♠Q♦. Pudikkkkk's jacks J♣J♠ would get no help from the 2♥ 4♦ T♣ A♣ 7♣ board ending the tournament in ninth place ($5,590.40).

Two hands later Bigdaft went back to work, and this time mathaaaa was the victim. A blind versus blind battle gone wrong for mathaaaa after picking up 9♠A♦ in the small blind and Bigdaft waiting to call with A♥Q♣. A queen on the flop 4♣ 6♦ Q♠ 4♥ Q♥ would subtract mathaaaa from the table in eighth place ($8,735.00).

Magularo, with a SCOOP final table from last year, would take nasty beat at the hands of Lockerl71 when big slick failed to beat Lockerl71's ace-queen with a queen on the river. The elimination would come on the next hand holding 507,908 chips left with the blinds moving up to 80K/160K ante 16K. Tollgate would show magularo to the door in seventh place ($15,723.00).

The quick removals of players did not stop there as a few minutes later former Sunday Warm-Up champ dr_upswing90's chances at a second title would be squashed by syvers007. Holding less than a million chips, dr_upswing90's pocket fours 4♥4♣ could not survive against syvers007's Q♣T♥ on the T♦ 2♦ K♠ 7♦ 9♣ board leaving in sixth place ($22,711.00).

Still in the same blind level Lockerl71 and syvers007 decided to play for a big pot preflop. Lockerl71 tried to bully with a shove of 3.8 million from the small blind but syvers007 was not ready to release pocket fives 5♣5♦ and made the call. Lockerl71's 8♠A♠ would fail to catch a pair on the 2♣ 5♠ Q♣ 4♥ T♣ board claiming $29,699.00 in fifth place.

The final hand before the tenth hourly break, dasman13 would take a huge chunk of syvers007's stack after getting it all-in preflop with ace-jack and finding a couple of jacks on the board to take down syvers007's big slick. Five hands later tollgate would scoop up the rest of syvers007's chips as syvers007 moved on to the next target in fourth place ($40,181.00).

"yeah no worries I'll focus on the other ft"

Dasman13's humblebrag was well earned as the players started the money chop negotiations. After Bigdaft thought for a bit, the three player deal was set leaving $10K aside for the weekly champ:

Bigdaft: $82,123.37
dasman13: $80,000.00
tollgate: $77,000.00

Despite the deal, the threesome were not ready to retire as they would play on for 40 minutes until tollgate and Bigdaft decided to play for a big pot preflop. Bigdaft's hopes of getting to heads-up play in this tournament (after doing so in July) would be dashed by tollgate. Bigdaft would flop a royal flush draw holding K♥J♥ but tollgate's Q♦A♠ held on the A♥ T♥ 4♣ T♣ A♦ board to take away $82,123.37 in third place.

Tollgate has been here at the Sunday Warm-Up final table a couple of times but lacked a win.

This week that changed.

Tollgate would start heads-up play with a commanding 29.2 million to 5.7 million chip lead. But, dasman13 would scratch and claw for 30 minutes before getting knocked down to 3.7 million chips and shoving with Q♥3♠. Tollgate would insta-call holding queens Q♦Q♣ and they would hold with no problems J♦ A♦ 9♥ 5♠ T♦. Thanks to the ladies, tollgate would finally get to walk away with the extra $10K and weekly Sunday Warm-Up title!
