2013 WBCOOP names its winners

They worked, they toiled, they blogged, and they played. Now we know WBCOOP's big winners.

The 2013 World Blogger Championship of Online Poker is in the books, and there are a bunch of people who have some bigger bankrolls as a result.

TigerCente, a blogger from India, took down the WBCOOP main event for $874.

While TigerCente's accomplishment can't be understated, the big money went to Canada's Digicision who took the Best Blog title for the blog mpov.ca. That prize was worth a cool $5,000.

Did you think the ladies were going to get left out? No way. WBCOOP also awarded $500 to the Best Female Writer, Portugal's Katerina289.

While this was a blogging competition, the world of microblogging wasn't forgotten. This year, WBCOOP awarded $1,000 to the Best Live Tweeter @Evoke_NZ, who might have to re-think the last post: "Nothing seems to go right today."

We also can't finish this off without mentioning the WBCOOP leaderboard winners who pocketed some big prizes.

1st: Gaidbar (Ukraine): WBCOOP 2013 trophy, $5,000 worth of $T, 2013 SCOOP main event ticket and a PokerStars branded chip set

2nd: DeWashington (Russia): $55 2013 SCOOP ticket, $1,000 worth of $T and a PokerStars branded chip set

Update: The original version of this story listed different winners on the Player of the Series leaderboard. The incorrect information was due to a technical issue with the WBCOOP leader board feed.

All points for tournaments have been manually checked by the PokerStars team to ensure final standings are correct and the WBCOOP team has apologized for any inconvenience.

Congratulations to all the winners.

Brad Willis is the PokerStars Head of Blogging. He did not win anything.
