Attention bloggers: WBCOOP is back!

Twitter may have taken over the world. Facebook may be sweeping the planet. Instagram may be filtering out everything. But blogs, my friends, are not dead. The World Blogger Championship of Online Poker lives on!

Today, PokerStars announced the return of WBCOOP, the eighth running of the event that gives the world's bloggers a chance to be poker champions. Running March 1-11, WBCOOP has 31 tournaments that will pay out tens of thousands of dollars over the course of the ten-day festival.

Want to learn more? Well, Team Online's Tyler Frost can tell you all about it in the video below (if you're sitting at work without headphones, don't worry, as we have details below).

So, here's the thing: there will be big prizes for all the events, but the biggest money is for a few superlatives, including "Best Blogger" ($5,000), "Best Live Tweeter" ($1,000) and "Best Female Blogger" ($500). There will also be a full WBCOOP leaderboard competition.

So, you want in? Well, it will take a little work on your part.

WBCOOP is open to anyone who submits a 500-word blog or short video before March 9 detailing the best moment they have had while playing on PokerStars. The blogger must then share the blog/video with friends and followers on social media to get ten free tickets to play in one of 30 eligible tournaments.

Players can register for a maximum of ten tournaments. Each tournament awards Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) tickets to the highest finishers, and everyone who cashes will be invited to play the 2013 WBCOOP Main Event on March 11 at 10:00 ET where $5,000 will be up for grabs.

Oh, and just in case you need some extra incentive to play, you'll find several members of Team Pro in the fields with $22 bounties on their heads.

To see all the details, submit your entry, and see a full schedule of the tournaments, visit the 2013 World Blogger Championship of Online Poker homepage.
