Dave 'crabmaki' Shallow leads WCOOP-29: $1,050 No-limit Hold'em

wcoop2009-thumb.jpgDave 'CrabMaki' Shallow leads WCOOP-29: $1,050 No-Limit Hold'em overnight in the two-day 1,422 runner event. There are 82 players left, all of whom are guaranteed at least $3,270.60, with Englishman Shallow's 513,830 leading ahead of veeea in second (452,060) and young German wunderkind Ole 'wizowizo' Schemion in third (310,251). First place pays $241,740.

Shallow, who's perhaps better known in the UK by the name of 'Dubai', won WPT Dublin in January for €222,280 capping off a successful online career with an elusive live victory. What online career, I hear you cry? Well, you can start with his $605,655 victory in the 2010 WCOOP $10,300 High Roller. Brad Willis spoke to Shallow then and found someone willing to speak openly about their game

Dave 'Crabmaki' Shallow is on target to sink a few more

Griffin 'Flush_Entity' Benger is also among those well-chipped with 239,077 and currently sits in 10th place. In the chasing pack Mexican Team PokerStars Pro Angel Guillen and this year's SCOOP main event winner Nick 'gripdsnutz' Grippo hold average stacks.

Team PokerStars Online's George 'Jorj95' Lind is among the shorter stacks looking to grind back their way up the ladder. Lind has around 25 big blinds, more than enough to spin back into contention.

George Lind: more or less hygienic than licking poker chips?
