Negreaunu itching for his first WCOOP win
This time last year Daniel 'kidpoker' Negreanu was challenging for the top spot of the WCOOP leader board. The Canadian Team PokerStars Pro had racked up 15 cashes in the toughest online festival and had a chance on the final day to top the tournament leader board.
This year Negreanu hasn't started off quite so auspiciously having finished in the money four times, one of those being in the the $10,300 High Roller event where he finished 37th for $17,820. You can watch highlights of that final table further down this article. Watch it, you might learn something. It is the final table of the largest buy-in tournament of the biggest online poker festival in the world after all.
While Negreanu has proved that he's got the quality - $16,264,910 in live tournament winnings anyone? - the popular pro is yet to score a WCOOP bracelets to join the four he has in the trophy cabinet from the WSOP. Perhaps he'll leave it late. Maybe WCOOP-64 has Negreanu's name on it, the $10,300 8-game High Roller seems right up his alley. If you're still thinking of playing your first WCOOP you can check the schedules here and
buy in direct through the PokerStars lobby or satellite in. In fact, you can do both using FPP points so it might not even cost you a dime.
You can catch up with Negreanu's WCOOP progress by reading the WCOOP final table reports that are posted up each day here. And if you like the highlights how of the $10,300 High Roller below then there's plenty more to watch at PokerStars.tv.
