WCOOP 2013: One more for Yoo4, 2013's first double-bracelet winner
Six nights ago, Russia's Yoo4 leveled a PLO 6-max final table in Event #16, eliminating Marcel Luske en route to his first WCOOP bracelet. He banked nearly $52,000 for that win, but would nearly triple that sum tonight with another dominating performance. Well, not so much dominating but complete and utter Optimus Prime-style annihilation. Arriving at a final table that included SCOOP champions Joe "floes" Serock and T 54 T 97s and Sunday 500 champ Dylan "PokerI)eviL" Horton, Yoo4 applied relentless pressure on his opponents, wielding his chip lead like a machete as he breezed to a second WCOOP bracelet.
Event #35 drew 643 players, the prize pool topping out at $556,800 thanks to 726 rebuys and 487 add-ons. 84 places were paid with first place set to earn $103,008. A quintet of Red Spades were among the competitors, including Nacho Barbero, Naoya "nkeyno" Kihara, Rino Mathis and Alex Kravchenko. Lex Veldhuis (73rd) was the only Team Pro to cash.
Already sporting a significant chip lead, Yoo4 brutalized the final table bubble, going from 2.5 million in chips to 5.07 million in only 20 minutes. Along the way, Yoo4 eliminated ninth-place finisher kunkku and did serious damage to kaju85 and PokerI)eviL's stacks. As the blinds rose to 15,000/30,000, Yoo4 opened for a min-raise on the button and kaju85 three-bet to 195,000. Yoo4 called and they saw a 8♦6♥2♦ flop. Kaju85 led out for 405,000, Yoo4 min-raised, and kaju85 tossed in his remaining 17,958, revealing J♠J♦9♠8♥. Yoo4 only had a pair of sixes and a gutshot with 9♥6♠4♣3♥, but hit the 5♥ on the turn to make a six-high straight. Kaju85 was eliminated in seventh place and Yoo4 advanced to the final table with a 4 to 1 chip lead over second-place BOBAN94.

Joe "floes" Serock out in sixth
Joe "floes" Serock was dealt an early setback when he doubled up PokerI)eviL. The money went in on a Q♠3♦3♠ flop, PokerI)eviL's A♥A♣9♦8♥ making aces up against floes's 9♥T♠J♣K♠. Floes missed his flush draw, the turn and river falling the 7♦ and the T♣ to give PokerI)eviL a boost to 1.59 million in chips. Floes fell to 317,000 and although he rebounded with a double up through BOBAN94, T 54 T 97s got him back on the ropes with a check-raise shove on a A♣A♦8♦T♦ board. Floes decided to save his last 240,000 and gave it up, but was all-in again two hands later, his A♣Q♣J♦2♦ up against T 54 T 97s's K♠K♥Q♥2♠. The A♠K♣7♣ flop hit both players, floes with the nut flush draw and T 54 T 97s holding middle set. Floes made his flush when the 8♣ turned, but the board paired on the river with the 8♦, making T 54 T 97s kings full. Floes hit the rail in sixth place, earning $16,704 for his efforts.
Bye Bye Blinda
As T 54 T 97s moved up to second in chips with 1.8 million, Blinda74 lost half his stack to Yoo4 when he three-bet pre, but check-folded to Yoo4's 475,000 bet on a A♦J♥3♦ flop. Down to 296,000, Blinda picked up K♠Q♦T♦9♣ and three-bet shoved, Yoo4 calling the small balance with J♦J♦7♠3♦. Yoo4 made top set and turned jacks full, the board running out J♠8♦2♥2♣K♣ to end Blinda74's run in fifth place ($27,840.00).
Back to back bustouts
As play turned four-handed, Yoo4 was up to 6.7 million, T 54 T 97s was second with 1.85 million, PokerI)eviL had 1.2 million and BOBAN94 was the short stack with 700,000. For the next 15 minutes, T 54 T 97s's stack dwindled steadily before PokerI)eviL knocked him below a million.
One orbit later, T 54 T 97s defended his big blind against Yoo4's button min-raise. The flop came down Q♦T♣7♠ and T 54 T 97s check-raised all-in for 684,000, having flopped top two pair. Yoo4 called with A♥Q♠T♦3♠ for the same two pair, but turned the A♠ to make aces up. The river was the 4♣ and T 54 T 97s was out in fourth place, earning $38,976.00.
On the next deal, PokerI)eviL opened for a 3x raise to 180,000 from the small blind and Yoo4 called. The flop fell T♠9♦4♥ and PokerI)eviL led out for 360,000. Yoo4 raised to 1.44 million and PokerI)eviL called all-in for his remaining 636,000 with A♥J♥J♦6♥. Yoo4 revealed a wrap draw with A♣8♣7♥6♣ and hit a ten-high straight when the turn fell the 6♠. PokerI)eviL was drawing dead and ended his run in third place with a $57,072.00 payday.
Heads-up chip counts
Seat 2: BOBAN94 (620,010 in chips)
Seat 6: Yoo4 (9,877,490 in chips)
His chip lead now 16 to 1, Yoo4 needed only three hands to finish off BOBAN94. After a couple trades of the blinds, BOBAN94 committed the last of his chips on a J♣9♦5♦ flop but did not improve vs. Yoo4's middle pair.
Congratulations to Yoo4 on his second WCOOP bracelet of 2013! In addition to taking home $103,008, he earned another 100 WCOOP TLB points and is currently in a three-way tie for fifth place. For his runner-up finish, BOBAN94 banked $76,838.40.
