WCOOP 2013: Start qualifying now

And It all begins one month from today.


Today, PokerStars launched its official schedule and satellites for this year's WCOOP. Beginning September 8th, WCOOP will run for three weeks, offering $40 million in guarantees, championship events in nearly every discipline, and a $5,000 buy-in Main Event that is likely to be the biggest thing you will see in online poker this year. It has an $8 million guarantee and $1.25 million guaranteed first prize.

Even if the buy-ins seem big, anybody can get in. PokerStars will be running countless satellites to all the tournaments, and you can get into to any event for next to no money if you work at it. Put another way: you don't have to have money to be a WCOOP champion.

For the truly dedicated, WCOOP is bringing back its Player of the Series leader board. The top three spots will earn prizes, with the the top point-getter earning a champion's trophy, a 2014 PCA package, a 2014 TCOOP main event ticket, a 2014 SCOOP main event (H) ticket, and a 2014 WCOOP Main Event ticket. All together that prize is worth nearly $30,000.

So, get ready, because you have just one month to plan your attack, win your seats, and start measuring your wrist for a gold bracelet.
