$9,000,000 WCOOP Challenge Series is back, runs March 28-30

The World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) Challenge Series is back. Later this month, March 28-30 to be precise, nine big money tournaments will run on PokerStars offering $9m in guaranteed action. The buy-ins range from the $109 of the opening $600,000 guaranteed event up to the hefty $2,100 of the Main Event. You can qualify for a lot, lot less than that though by qualifying through satellites.

In addition to big cash prizes, the winner of each event will also be rewarded with a customized commemorative money clip and a ticket for the 2014 WCOOP Main Event worth $5,200.

The first-ever WCOOP Challenge Series ran at the end of last year as part of the popular December Festival. The Main Event was won by DEHELLHOUND from Singapore who collected an enormous $516,235, which you can read about here. Team PokerStars Online's Andre "acoimbra" Coimbra also had a deep run to finish an amazing year. The Portuguese player turned $100 into $70,000... and gave it all away to charity.
