WCOOP 2014: Final Table Friday and a look back at the 2013 8-Game High Roller

Here on the PokerStars Blog we're slowly getting into WCOOP mode. Every now and then someone will yell "I wont million!" as they press the button on the vending machine, or they'll insist on only being referred to by their username. But that's all part of our in-house WCOOP build up.

So given that it's Friday and the whole weekend lies ahead of you--with all the time you need to play online--why not make it Final Table Friday, and spent a little time watching coverage from one of last year's WCOOP final tables? No one will notice, and surely the boss is doing exactly the same thing?*

Like this one for example, taken from 2013 and featuring some of the best online players in one of the game's trickier disciplines. Event #65, six players in the $10,300 8-Game High Roller, headlined by the likes of Andy McLEOD, who we interviewed earlier this week after his latest win, BiatchPeople, hotmark777, Tidynamo, Elia001 and Enon.

james_obst_portrait.jpgIt would be just another WCOOP final table for James "Andy McLEOD" Obst

Some 86 players had been slashed to just six, with the bulk of a $860,000 prize pool still up for grabs. If this doesn't get you in the mood then you might not be feeling well. You should probably get your things and leave work early.

In case you hadn't heard WCOOP 2014 is now less than a month away, with the schedule of 66 events, including a Main Event with a $10 million guarantee, now available in its entirety on the WCOOP 2014 website.

Check it out for all the details of events, and how you can win your seat in one of the many satellites currently running.

*Actually bosses are great people. We do not advocate spending time on thing like this when there's work to be done, or something.
