WCOOP 2014: Kikki-mikk claims victory in Event #31 (5-Card 6-Max PLO H/L 2R1A)

Another victory for Russia.

Kikki-mikk is now the fifth Russian to take a WCOOP title this year after besting a field of 396 players in the 5-Card 6-Max PLO 2R1A. The entrants re-bought a total of 343 times and purchased 193 add-ons to create a $186,400.00 prize pool.

Kikki-mikk got the largest slice of the prize pool ($25,534.65) and became another addition to the quickly-increasing list of thriving Russian players.

kimble83 picked up the blinds on the first hand and was eliminated the next.

kimble83 raised to 87,500 from the hijack and Kikki-mikk called from the button. The flop came [10d]4♣5♦ and kimble83 bet the pot, 212,500.

Kikki-mikk repotted and kimble83 called all-in for 298,923.

kimble83 showed A♥A♣K♦Q♣3♦ while Kikki-mikk tabled A♠9♠5♠3♠2♣. kimble83's aces were still in the lead but then a 5♣ came on the turn to give Kikki-mikk trips.

A 9♥ completed the board and kimble83 was eliminated. kimble83 won $6,617.20 for finishing 6th while Kikki-mikk chipped up to 1.10 million.


The five remaining players of the five-card PLO then struck a deal. At that time, the counts were:

The deal left the WCOOP bracelet and $2,500 for first. Players agreed and the game continued.

Top to bottom

The Omaholic locked up the second-largest portion of the deal but was the next to go.

The Omaholic's road to ruin was a short one. First, The Omaholic doubled Tlick77 up. Tlick777 raised to 62,500 from under-the-gun and The Omaholic re-raised to 200,000 from the small blind.

Tlick777 called and the flop came A♣4♥8♠. The Omaholic bet 425,000 and Tlick777 moved all-in for 855,662. The Omaholic called with A♠A♦J♠5♦2♦ while Tlick777 had 8♥8♦A♥3♦2♠.

Both players had a set, but then a 5♠ and a 6♥ completed the board to give Tlick the nut lo and a deuce-to-six straight.

Tlick777 doubled up to 2.14 million while The Omaholic was left with 89,801.

Two hands later, The Omaholic raised to 87,500 from the cutoff and Kikki-mikk called from the button.

There was an A♦2♣K♦ flop and The Omaholic moved all-in for 2,301. Kikki-mikk called with A♥8♣7♠4♣3♣ while The Omaholic showed 6♦6♠A♣7♦4♠.

The turn brought a 2♥ and an 8♥ came on the river. Kikki-mikk scooped the pot with aces and eights for the hi and 8-4-3-2-A for the lo.

The Omaholic was out in 5th and won the agreed-upon $23,869.57.


The short-stacked PICKLED EGG survived one all-in but failed to survive the second.

PICKLED EGG raised to 60,000 from the button and Tlick777 re-raised to 195,000 from the big blind.

The flop came K♣9♥K♥ after PICKLED EGG called and Tlick777 bet the pot. PICKLED EGG called all-in for 97,502 and tabled A♥J♠6♥5♦3♦ while Tlick777 showed A♣K♦[10s]7♥5♠.

Tlick777 was in the lead with trip kings and then improved to quads when a K♠ came on the river.

PICKLED EGG took home $23,869.57 for finishing 4th while Tlick777's lead increased to 2.44 million.

Lack of aDrENalin

aDrENalin710 has two SCOOP titles but failed to gain a WCOOP title in Event #31.

Kikki-mikk raised to 60,000 from the button and aDrENalin710 three-bet to 195,000 from the big blind. Kikki-mikk made it 600,000 and aDrENalin710 moved all-in for 1.26 million.

Kikki-mikk called all-in with A♥A♦[10s]7♠5♠ and was up against aDrENalin710's A♣K♣J♥8♥2♦.

The board ran 2♠Q♦4♣Q♥Q♠ and aDrENalin710 was left with 219,644 while Kikki-mikk doubled to 2.11 million.

aDrENalin710 chopped two all-ins, won a third and was eliminated on the fourth.

aDrENalin710 raised to 80,000 from the small blind and Kikki-mikk re-raised to 240,000. aDrENalin710 moved all-in for 484,288, Kikki-mikk called and we had another final table showdown.

The board ran 6♥K♥Q♦Q♥2♣ and aDrENalin710 was eliminated.

aDrENalin710 won $24,595.75 for finishing 3rd while the tournament went heads-up.

Both players were fairly even in chips and traded the lead back-and-forth a few times before Kikki-mikk took the final lead.

Kikki-mikk was down to 1.90 million and raised to 120,000 from the small blind. Tlick777 called and the flop came 4♥5♦5♠. Tlick777 check-called Kikki-mikk's 130,000 bet and a 9♠ came on the turn.

Both players checked and a 4♦ completed the board. Kikki-mikk bet 350,000 when checked to and Tlick777 raised to 700,000.

Kikki-mikk called and took down the pot with 9♦5♥2♦2♠A♣, fives full of nines. Tlick777 on the other hand just had fives with K♠3♠2♣7♠8♦.

Kikki-mikk took the lead with 2.88 million while Tlick777 was down to 1.78 million.

Tlick777 held on for a bit longer but couldn't complete the comeback.

Tlick777 raised to 240,000 from the small blind and Kikki-mikk re-raised to 720,000. Tlick777 moved all-in for 1.19 million and we had the final showdown of the tournament.

The board ran 6♠9♠5♣J♦5♠ and the tournament came to an end.

Tlick777 won $20,900.52 for the runner-up finish while Kikki-mikk took the title and $25,534.65.
