WCOOP 2017: All the news from Day 2 of the Championship

The first results of WCOOP 2017 came last night with the conclusion of the first four event, the biggest of which being the special edition Sunday Million, won by KumariOy. That means one player tops the leader board as the Championship gets up to speed.



The headlines from the day in WCOOP

The biggest winner of the day was KumariOy who won the special edition Sunday Million for a first prize of $310,289. That came against the likes of a Bull 67, his heads-up opponent, and Bryn Kenney, who finished fourth.

Elsewhere there were wins for Carpediem2000 in WCOOP-01 and serevsini, who picked up a first prize of $106,262, plus $81,292 in bounties in the special edition Sunday Warm-Up. A win for WeakyLeeks concluded the opening day results.

Mican_ludi leads the last 77 players with nearly $100,000 available for first place, not to mention bounties. Others in contention include stalwarts Lena900 and veeea who will pick things up when play restarts at 6pm (1pm ET).

WCOOP-07-H $530 NLHE [8-Max]
They're down to 51 players in this one, led by MECMAR_I of Romania. Play restarts at 8:30pm (3:30pm ET) with nearly $94,000 for first place.
