2015 World Cup of Poker ready for the finals

It would have been easy to assume that the first semi-final between USA and Kazakhstan would be one-sided affair; however the Kazakhstan players turned out in force, and began making short work on the US players. By the time the dust had settled on the first hour of play forty-nine players were eliminated of which forty-six were from the US.

By the time it got down to the final six players the two sides were evenly matched, and after four rapid eliminations only two Kazakhstan players remained to fight for the winners prize of 30M chips and a place in the final.

The second semi-final was a real end-to-end game, with France taking the early lead after several rapid German eliminations. However Germany rallied in the 70th minute stringing ten eliminations back-to-back, and establishing a dominant lead that lasted for the most of the rest of the tournament.

With France and Germany facing each other at the last two tables, it seemed like it could go either way, but ultimately "FadeToBla85" defeated "fabcheche" at the last table to secure the final position for Germany.

Good luck to all the players from Germany and Kazakhstan playing next weekend, and well done to all our other players who cashed in the individual tournaments so far.
