Satellites will begin on June 11, and we will have more to announce next weekend about those cheap-seat opportunities ... and maybe even a freeroll. For now, mark your calendars and get your game ready for the Half Price Women's Sunday. It's going to be one crazy sale!

As for today, the first Women's Sunday of June ended registration with these numbers:

Total players: 215
Prize pool: $10,750.00
Paid finishers: 36

There were two players bearing the Pokerstars red spade logo in the field today, each offering a $50 bounty for anyone able to knock them out of the action. Friend of Pokerstars Charlotte "Sjlot" Van Brabander was the first victim, exiting in 161st place in the first hour of play. Team PokerStars Pro Vivian Im was next, eliminated in 124th place.

The money bubble burst after more than two hours of play, and lamprey112 was the unfortunate bubble player, exiting in 37th place. But laimee was then able to cash for $80.62, and others followed her lead. The field thinned further when players like nutbreakerLL left in 20th and Princesa followed in 19th place.

At the four-hour mark, there were 10 players remaining, and it took some time to lose one more player. Finally, statuskuo moved her 8,176 chips all-in with A♠Q♠, and pickpocketb called from the big blind with K♦4♥. The board came 5♦2♥7♦Q♦K♠ make the pair of kings to eliminate statuskuo in tenth place with $172.00.

Borileave holds big lead

In Level 20, with blinds of 2,000/4,000 and a 400 ante, the final table was set with these initial starting stacks:

Seat 1: pickpocketb (108,822 in chips)
Seat 2: Sammy_S23 (65,552 in chips)
Seat 3: Izzuska88 (74,458 in chips)
Seat 4: ti9ine (47,836 in chips)
Seat 5: peligrosa_5 (65,536 in chips)
Seat 6: GeeU2 (1,915 in chips)
Seat 7: Buska007 (69,255 in chips)
Seat 8: borileave (171,658 in chips)
Seat 9: Monkey877 (39,968 in chips)

The very first hand of the table saw action, as GeeU2's super short stack put her all-in from the big blind. Borileave was along for the ride with A♣K♥, and GeeU2 showed J♣5♠. The board of T♣3♥A♦J♦4♥ gave aces to borileave, and GeeU2 was gone in ninth place, which was worth $204.25.

A few double-ups changed the leaderboard, as Monkey877 doubled through peligrosa_5, then peligrosa_5 did the same through ti9ine, and ti9ine then doubled through pickpocketb. But two of those players were soon to be eliminated. It happened in a huge hand that started with ti9ine moving all-in from the button and peligrosa_5 reraising all-in from the small blind. Buska007 called both players from the big blind.

Buska007: 5♦5♠
peligrosa_5: A♣Q♠
ti9ine: 4♥4♦

The board produced 5♥T♣3♦T♥7♥ to give Buska007 the full house, and that left ti9ine out in eighth place with $268.75 and peligrosa_5 out in seventh with $376.25.

The following double-up of Monkey877 through borileave put the former on a strong forward path:

When pickpocketb made a preflop UTG all-in move with A♣9♦, Monkey877 called from the big blind with 6♠6♦, and that pair held up to the 3♠J♠Q♦T♣2♠ board. Pickpocketb was ousted from the tournament in sixth place with $483.75.

The next big hand started with a UTG raise from borileave, which prompted Izzuska88 to move all-in from the small blind with A♠K♣. Borileave showed A♣4♦, and it looked like a double-up for Izzuska88 through the reveal of the 8♦T♣3♦ flop and J♣ turn. But the 4♥ river gave borileave the pair of fours and sent Izzuska88 to the rail with $623.50 and a bad beat story.

Next up was Sammy_S23. It started with a UTG raise from Buska007 and reraise from borileave. Sammy_S23 called all-in from the big blind with A♣T♣, and borileave was the only caller, showing K♦3♣. But the flop came 3♥2♦5♣ to give borileave the pair of threes, and nothing about the 8♥ turn or 7♥ river changed that. Sammy_S23 was gone in fourth place with $913.75.

Buska007 then decided to move with 3♠3♥, and Monkey877 showed up to the all-in party with A♦T♣. Buska007 was at risk and looked good through the 7♠2♠J♠ flop and J♥ turn. But the T♥ hit on the river to give Buska007 the best two pair, and Buska007 was eliminated in third place with $1,214.75.

Swinging into heads-up action

The final two players were set for a battle with these stacks:

Seat 8: borileave (392399 in chips)
Seat 9: Monkey877 (252601 in chips)

It didn't take long for borileave to make a move. The preflop raising battle resulted in Monkey877 moving all-in, and borileave called with A♥6♥. Monkey877 was the underdog with A♦3♦, but the board came 4♠7♠J♦3♥2♣ to give her the pair of threes. Borileave had to accept second place in the tournament for $1,612.50.

Monkey877 of Slovakia won the Women's Sunday and $2,198.48 in cash. Congratulations!
