RuPrettyGirl wins, Ana Marquez takes third in Women's Sunday

The last weekend in November brought the last of the MicroMillions III tournaments. It was an exciting series that is still wrapping up its final events. Congratulations to all of the players who won bankroll-changing money and to the women who beat the odds to make final tables!

Speaking of final tables, last weekend's Sunday Million found a woman in the winner's circle, as sexylady409 took down the biggest weekly tournament in all of online poker. Watch for an interview with her in the coming days.

The last week of the Women's Poker League November promotion is in motion, with Team PokerStars Pros competing in the WPL as bounties. And the PS Women Live promotion to award PokerStars Caribbean Adventure prize packages is going strong, continuing into December with chances for more women to win their way to the Bahamas.

And, of course, the exciting Women's Sunday was in action today. The one-hour late registration closed with these final numbers:

Total players: 199
Prize pool: $10,000.00
Paid finishers: 36

There were two members of Team PokerStars Pro in the field this week, each with $50 bounties to award to players who knocked them out of the tournament. The first one to suffer the knockout was Vivian Im, who left in the middle of the second hour of play in 97th place. Still going strong was Ana Marquez, who consistently lingered near the top of the leaderboard.

The money bubble burst into the third hour, and blanckaa17 was the first player to leave in the money with $75.00 for her 36th place finish. And when the field had been reduced to only two tables, Marquez led the final 18 in first place, though players like ScarltJohnsn and RuPrettygirl were in close pursuit of that position. Marquez was squeezed out of first by ScarltJohnsn and former Women's Sunday champion sladost, but Marquez then eliminated alicat29 to climb over the 100K mark and back to the top.

ScarltJohnsn lost ground, though, and lucky lukyyy eliminated her in 11th place, which put lucky lukyyy in first place to take that spot from Marquez. But when KpacoTeHb moved all-in with K♠T♠, Ana Marquez was there with A♥T♥, which stood up to the Q♥8♦9♥3♣Q♣ board to send KpacoTeHb out in tenth place.

Lucky lukyyy and Team Pro Ana Marquez lead final table

Action began at the final table in Level 17, with blinds of 1,000/2,000 and a 200 ante, along with these starting player stacks:

Seat 1: icebeerkim (13,432 in chips)
Seat 2: lucky lukyyy (132,145 in chips)
Seat 3: fullhouselol (16,844 in chips)
Seat 4: Tatatytata (13,140 in chips)
Seat 5: sladost (92,273 in chips)
Seat 6: RuPrettygirl (95,699 in chips)
Seat 7: ana marquez (123,334 in chips)
Seat 8: ellli10 (62,646 in chips)
Seat 9: Chuimz (47,487 in chips)

Last week's Women's Sunday winner, icebeerkim, made a solid run at back-to-back wins, but she had a very short stack coming to the final table. She pushed on the third hand with 2♠2♥, but RuPrettygirl called with J♣T♦ and caught the flop of the K♥J♥8♠K♦8♥ for the best two pair. Icebeerkim finished this week in ninth place with $190.00.

Chuimz got involved with Marquez to see a raised flop of Q♦J♥9♦. Marquez bet, and Chuimz check-called to see the 2♦ on the turn. The same pattern brought the 4♣ on the river, at which point Marquez bet all-in. Chuimz called all-in for her last 26,287 chips with K♣Q♥, but that top pair couldn't beat the T♥8♥ and straight of Marquez. Chuimz departed in eighth place with $250.00.

Tatatytata made some moves and doubled first through sladost and then through lucky lukyyy to stay in action.

Fulhouselol tried for the same, moving all-in with 8♦6♦, but Marquez was there to make the call from the big blind with K♥Q♦. The flop of T♠A♥K♣ gave Marquez the pair of kings, and the 8♣ on the turn gave fullhouselol hope with that pair. But the 5♥ on the river eliminated fullhouselol, who received $350.00 for the seventh place finish.

Tataytata tried her luck again, moving all-in with 19,710 chips and A♥T♦. Sladost called with A♦9♦, and the double-up looked promising until the flop brought 9♥2♥K♣. The pair of nines held up to the 8♣ turn and 7♠ river, eliminating Tatatytata in sixth place with $450.00.

Ellli10 takes over but so does RuPrettygirl

Five-handed play went on for a while, but then the unexpected happened when two similarly stacked players got involved. Ellli10 raised UTG, and lucky lukyyy reraised. Everyone else folded, and ellli10 went over the top all-in. Lucky lukyyy called all-in with A♣Q♥, and ellli10 showed J♣J♥. The board revealed 9♥K♠9♦A♣T♦, and that was enough to eliminate lucky lukyyy in fifth place with $580.00.

RuPrettygirl then doubled through sladost to increase her stack:

Meanwhile, Ana Marquez became disconnected, which caused the slowdown of four-handed play. She eventually fell to last place on the leaderboard as a result.

Sladost, who won the September 16 Women's Sunday, finally moved her short stack all-in with T♣7♣, and RuPrettygirl called with A♥9♥. Each player caught a pair on the J♦7♦A♠ flop, but the Q♣ turn and 8♥ river allowed the pair of aces to win for RuPrettygirl. That left sladost out in fourth place with $850.00.

Ana Marquez finally returned to the table with a short stack and called all-in after a raise from RuPrettygirl. Ana Marquez had Q♦9♦, but RuPrettygirl was ahead with K♥T♣. The board of A♥6♣3♠3♣7♣ allowed the king kicker to play, and Marquez finished the tournament in third place with $1,130.00.

Russia vs. Russia heads-up

The final two players, both Russian, started heads-up play with these stacks:

Seat 6: RuPrettygirl (424,719 in chips)
Seat 8: ellli10 (172,281 in chips)

Ellli10 started strong and chipped up, especially with the help of a 95K pot, but RuPrettygirl stayed aggressive and reduced her opponent back to her starting stack. The two then got into a pot that started with a raised flop of A♦2♣4♣. Ellli10 bet, and RuPrettygirl check-called to bring on the K♠ turn card. The same betting took place, which was followed by the K♦ on the river RuPrettygirl bet this time, and ellli10 called all-in with A♣J♣ for top two pair. But RuPrettygirl showed K♣8♣ for trip kings. Ellli10 took second place and $1,500.00.

RuPrettygirl won her first Women's Sunday and $2,045.00 to go along with the title. Congrats!
