Big win for 000lil000 in March 16 Women's Sunday

Two weeks.

The Women's Sunday on March 30 will be a celebration of the tournament's third birthday, and we have some excitement planned for you! We've already mentioned that the tournament will have a $30K guarantee, but details are leaking out that there will be quite a few bounties in the tournament, not to mention some very cheap satellites during the week leading up to it. Ann-Marie McCarthy talked about her strategy for playing it here.

Stay tuned for all of the exciting details to be revealed in the coming days!

Today, there was a solid turnout for the $55 Women's Sunday:

Total players: 225
Guarantee: $10,000.00
Prize pool: $11,250.00
Paid finishers: 36

Team PokerStars Online's Adrienne "talonchick" Rowsome participated today as a $50 bounty, and she exited within the first hour of the tournament. Play then moved along and eventually into the money, guaranteeing the top 36 finishers at least $84.37 for their efforts. Players like DaliaAllin, hotjenny314, and last week's winner ARichDesign collected some winnings as the field thinned.

As the four-hour mark approached, only two tables remained. Hand-for-hand play started with EARLYGIRLL exited in 11th place, and numerous players doubled up. Finally, though, former chip leader pamrleader pushed all-in with 4♥4♠ but ran into the A♦Q♣ of bolcs5. The board of 9♥Q♠T♥7♦J♦ gave bolcs5 the top pair and eliminated pamrleader in tenth place with $180.00.

$oprixAA and bolcs5 lead final nine

The final table was then set as follows:

Seat 1: Winx1977 (116,840 in chips)
Seat 2: bigboss827 (17,398 in chips)
Seat 3: sexyhands (50,608 in chips)
Seat 4: Mauresmo1 (43,146 in chips)
Seat 5: 000lil000 (35,530 in chips)
Seat 6: VVVictorYYY (84,511 in chips)
Seat 7: muetze1983 (29,250 in chips)
Seat 8: bolcs5 (148,189 in chips)
Seat 9: $oprixAA (149,528 in chips)

Bigboss827 doubled through sexyhands on the very first hand of action, and it quickly became evident that it was going to be an exciting table. Soon after, 000lil000 doubled through Mauresmo1, and muetze1983 did the same through 000lil000.

A big pot then developed. It began with Mauresmo1 raising all-in UTG with A♣Q♣. $oprixAA called, but sexyhands reraised all-in from the big blind with 9♣9♥. $oprixAA called her as well and showed 8♠8♦. The flop of 7♥6♦Q♥ gave Mauresmo1 the best hand, and the 2♠ on the turn changed nothing. But the 8♥ hit on the river to give $oprixAA the set of eights. Mauresmo1 departed in ninth place with $213.75, and sexyhands followed in eighth place with $281.25.

Bigboss827 doubled through VVVictorYYY, and the latter moved all-in two hands later with 5♥5♣. 000lil000 turned over Q♥J♠, and she improved on the 2♦9♣6♥J♥3♥ to the pair of jacks. VVVictorYYY was out in seventh place with $393.75.

000lil000 wanted even more chips and doubled through Winx1977 to get them:

Just a few hands later, Winx1977 raised UTG, and bolcx5 challenged with an all-in reraise from the small blind. Winx1977 called all-in with 9♣9♠, and bolcs5 showed A♦K♥. The board of T♥T♣A♠4♥J♥ made the best two pair for bolcx5, and Winx1977 had to leave in sixth place with $506.25.

Bigboss827 doubled through 000lil000, the latter doubled back through bigboss827, and then again a few rounds later to climb back up the leaderboard.

Bigboss827 then pushed all-in on the very next hand with A♥A♦ against the A♠6♠ of bolcs5, but the board delivered 9♠7♦2♠4♠8♦ for the turned flush. That left bigboss827 out in fifth place with $652.50.

Muetze1983 was the short stack but stayed alive with a double through 000lil000. The latter lost ground and was relegated to last place for a short time, but 000lil000 took charge and soared into the chip lead. Quite a few chips changed hands during the long four-handed battle, and then bolcs5 doubled through muetze1983.

Muetze1983 was crippled and all-in on the next hand with A♦J♥. 000lil000 had 6♦6♥ that developed into two pair to send muetze1983 out in fourth place $956.25.

Quick Deal for final three

The final three players paused the tournament to discuss a deal, and they agreed to the chip-chop payouts as follows:

Seat 5: 000lil000 (315368 in chips) = $1,946.71
Seat 8: bolcs5 (187528 in chips) = $1,672.90
Seat 9: $oprixAA (172104 in chips) = $1,639.87

And on the first hand back, $oprixAA doubled through bolcx5 in this hand:

Bolcs5 doubled up a few hands later to stay in action and then doubled again. And then all three players got involved in a big hand. $oprixAA moved all-in with Q♠3♥, 000lil000 called all-in with K♣T♦, and bolcs5 called all-in with 9♥6♥. The board brought Q♦K♦5♣8♣J♣ to give 000lil000 the top pair and the side and main pots. Bolcs5 was gone in third place.

$oprixAA had only 80,616 chips going into heads-up play against the 594,384 chips of 000lil000. $oprisAA moved them all-in on the very first hand of the match with Q♠T♥, and 000lil000 called with K♥8♠. The board of 9♦8♣K♣5♦3♦ eliminated $oprixAA in second place.

000lil000 won the Women's Sunday title and nearly $2K. Congrats!
