Luckyno75 says yes to second Women's Sunday title

PokerStars Women broke some exciting news this week. Our PS Women Live satellites are underway for the Women's Event at the PokerStars and Monte-Carlo®Casino European Poker Tour Grand Final!

There is at least one €2,600 PS Women Live prize package guaranteed every weekend, with satellites running throughout the week for entries into the $215 Weekly Final. Today, there were only nine players, and Mr Steeley of the UK won the Women's Event package and $627 in cash. Get in on the action in the coming weeks for your chance to win a trip to Monte Carlo.

Speaking of excitement, the Women's Sunday had a big field with a number of Team Pros in action today. The final numbers were:

Total players: 265
Guarantee: $10,000.00
Prize pool: $13,250.00
Paid finishers: 45

Each week, at least one member of Team PokerStars plays the Women's Sunday with a $50 bounty on her head. This week, there were four bounties in play.

Team SportStar Fatima Moreira de Melo played but was one of the first to leave the tournament, and Team PokerStars Pro Vanessa Selbst exited soon after in the first hour. Friend of PokerStars Natalie Hof was also in action, and Team Online's Adrienne" talonchick" Rowsome played as well. It was exciting to have all four of them in the field today!

As the field thinned through the first few hours, the money bubble came into play near the 2.5-hour mark. Cheyenne1165 of Canada was the first player to cash for $79.50 in this week's tournament, and play then continued in search of the final table.

Before the fourth hour began, the final 10 players battled for the nine final table seats, and the bubble hand was an exciting one. Pepe Le Sp3w raised, strugut365 reraised all-in with J♦J♠, and Pepe Le Sp3w called quickly with A♦A♠. The board of 9♣J♣4♦A♥Q♦ gave each player a set, but Pepe Le Sp3w turned the best set and eliminated strugut365 in tenth place with $198.75.

Luckyno75 goes for second title

The final table was set in Level 18, with blinds at 1,500/3,000 and a 250 ante, along with these players and their corresponding chip stacks:

Seat 2: ShowMustG00n (51,371 in chips)

On the third hand of action, luckyno75 raised and chinita45 reraised, only to have Gabor0802 reraise all-in from the small blind. Luckyno75 folded, but chinita45 called with 9♣9♥. Gabor0802 showed A♥J♦ but never improved enough on the 4♠5♦2♠6♥6♠ board. Gabor0802 was out in ninth place with $231.87.

Just a few hands later, idontfold3 pushed all-in from the big blind with T♦9♣ after ShowMustG00n raised from the small blind. ShowMustG00n called and showed A♥T♣, and the ace kicker played when the board revealed 5♦7♣Q♠3♦7♦. That left idontfold3 out in eighth place with $318.00.

Over the course of the next few rounds, tainascand collected some substantial pots and climbed in the chip lead. Chinita45 also closed in to create a tight top three on the leaderboard with tainascand and luckyno75.

ShandaLin83 was down to less than 25K chips and moved all-in with K♠T♠. Luckyno75 called from the small blind with 7♠7♥, which turned into two pair on the 2♠A♠A♥6♣8♣ board. ShandaLin83 was eliminated in seventh place with $450.50.

Shortly after, ShowMustG00n limped from middle position, and Pepe Le Sp3w did the same from the small blind. Lini0728 called from the big blind, and the flop came A♦K♣2♠. Lini0728 led out with a bet, ShowMustG00n called, and Pepe Le Sp3w check-called. When the 3♣ appeared on the turn, ShowMustG00n was the first to bet, and both other players check-called. That brought them to the 7♣ on the river, which prompted an all-in bet from ShowMustG00n for 30,591 chips with A♣7♥ for two pair. Pepe Le Sp3w was the only caller and showed J♣T♣ for the rivered flush, and ShowMustG00n was gone in sixth place with $583.00.

After the 4.5-hour break, Chinita45 continued her rise and took a pot worth 125K from tainascand to climb over 300K and solidify her lead. Even this double-up of lini0728 through chinitas45 didn't harm the latter's position:

Tainascand then got involved with chinita45 and lini0728, who started with a raised flop of Q♣A♠9♣. All three players checked and received a 5♣ on the turn. chinita45 bet, and lini0728 check-called. But tainascand raised all-in for more than 70K more, and chinita45 called. Lini0728 folded, and tainascand showed A♦K♥ for top pair. However, chinita45 had 7♣6♣ for the turned club flush, and the 6♠ on the river officially sent tainascand out in fifth place, which was worth $755.25.

Lini0728 experienced a disconnection issue during four-handed play. Her struggles finally led her to move all-in with 9♣9♠, but chinita45 was there with J♠J♦, which held up to the 7♥2♥5♥K♠8♥ board. Lini0728 left in fourth place with $1,093.12.

Just two hands later, Pepe Le Sp3w responded to an UTG raise from chinita45 by moving all-in with A♠K♣. Chinita45 called with Q♣9♣ but improved to top pair on the 2♥4♦9♥ flop. The 2♣ turn made that two pair for chinita45, and the 3♦ river officially sent Pepe Le Sp3w out in third place with $1,457.50.

Luckyno75 won't give up on another title

The two remaining players began their heads-up match with these stacks:

Seat 4: chinita45 (686,003 in chips)
Seat 9: luckyno75 (108,997 in chips)

Luckyno75 was unable to gain much ground until she doubled here:

Luckyno75 then took a pot worth 305,400 chips with quad jacks. That put luckyno75 in the lead, but chinita45 was persistent and took several big pots to regain her lead.

Luckyno75 doubled again to more than 325K, and she took the lead three hands later with this:

Chinita45 was in trouble against the newfound aggression and momentum of luckyno75. Finally, the two got involved in a bit pot that started with a raised flop of 8♠6♠A♠. Chinita45 bet, and luckyno75 check-raised. Chinita45 called to see the 9♥ on the turn. Luckyno75 led out with a bet, and chinita45 raised all-in for 317,024 chips with A♥T♥ for top pair. But luckyno75 called with Q♠J♠ and the flopped spade flush. The 8♣ on the river ended the tournament for chinita45 in second place for $1,921.25.
