Sunday Warm-Up: Legen... dary, I AmLegend11 claims title after four-way chop

Will Smith looked to cure the zombie apocalypse in "I Am Legend". Tonight's Sunday Warm-Up featured I AmLegend11 successfully reliving all 3,480 other players of their tournament chips. Taking home $87,845.15 after a four-way deal with mayer1648, graebsch, and -AAAABJAAAA-, I AmLegend11 would go on to claim victory without having to fend off a swarm of undead.

Brian "brianm15" England, fresh off a runner-up finish during the November 12th Super Tuesday, was hoping to add a Sunday Warm-Up final table tonight. England would be one of 18 players to make it to the ninth hour of play with $109,304.21.

England would lend a hand in getting the tournament closer to that final table after knocking out shunshixia in 18th place on the first hand back from the five minute break and collecting a 1.1 million chip pot in the process. A few minutes later as the blinds moved up to 50K/100K ante 10K milldollbaby would find pocket kings K♠K♦ as a worthwhile hand to shove a short-stack at as the Norwegian got a call from Az@ze11o holding Q♠A♣. Queen on the flop and an ace on the turn 3♣ Q♣ 5♠ A♥ 8♠ sent milldollbaby $2,088.60 in 16th place.

Still in the 50K/100K ante 10K level gray31 and $h1tter$ would make quick exits in 13th and 14th place respectively, each earning $3,132.90 for their efforts as the two tables of six moved on to the 65K/130K ante 13K level. chokdee1980 would leave in 12th place ($4,177.20) after the first hand of the new 80K/160K ante 16K level.

cbzn77 would try to spin up a stack under one million chips by shoving from the cutoff with 7♣J♣. Instead cbzn77 would run face first into - AAAABJAAAA-'s pocket kings K♥K♣ as the board Q♥ 5♦ 4♥ J♥ 5♥ failed to provide the necessary clubs to stay alive as the tournament started up hand-for-hand play.

Brian England started applying the pressure to AA-Dasha who was on tournament life support after doubling up 1st call3r. After taking the blinds down twice, England did not need to raise a third time from the big blind to get AA-Dasha all-in because the short stack only had 49,754 chips left. Holding a small ace 3♥A♦ AA-Dasha just needed to beat England's 8♦6♠ but the river had K♣ 7♠ 4♣ K♦ 6♣ other ideas handing $4,177.20 to AA-Dasha and opening up the final table below:

Seat 3: 1st call3r (2893328 in chips)
Seat 4: I AmLegend11 (1827458 in chips)
Seat 5: AlGiNho (4043532 in chips)
Seat 6: tkcasino007 (1642272 in chips)

Casino bustout

Lots of action during the first level of final table play but all nine would make it to the 100K/200K ante 20K blinds. Shortly after the tenth hour break AlGiNho would put out a min-raise as tkcasino007 ordered a martini shaken not stirred and shoved for 942,272 chips. Holding pocket kings K♦K♠ mayer1648 joined the fray and shoved for 5.7 million. AlGiNho would fold as tkcasino007 turned up a pair of unlucky ladies Q♦Q♣. No third queen on the 6♠ J♣ J♥ A♦ 5♦ board meant $5,569.00 and a ninth place finish for tkcasino007. It's been a while but tkcasino007 also claimed a Sunday Million final table back in 2012 also finishing in ninth place.

Taking over the chip lead

Nine hands later as the blinds moved up to 125K/250K ante 25K mayer1648 was mixing it up again opening from the button for 5.12 million and daring the blinds to call all-in. Az@ze11o took the dare and called for 1.9 million holding A♥8♣ and was rewarded as mayer1648 showed K♦6♦. Well, a preflop victory at least but hold em' does not award pots preflop unless everyone else folds as the Q♦ 9♣ K♠ 9♥ T♣ board sent Az@zello to the rail in eighth place ($8,702.50).

gg ul nh

I AmLegend11 has only typed "gg" "ul" "nh" into the chatbox thus far letting the cards do all the talking instead. As the blinds held up at 125K/250K ante 25K 1st call3r would shove for 1.56 million from the button holding acey-deucey 2♦A♣ as I AmLegend11 made a slight raise to 2.88 million from the small blind. AlGiNho would fold the big blind as I AmLegend11 turned up the dominating J♠A♥. Neither player would touch the 5♣ T♠ 7♦ 4♥ K♠ board as I AmLegend11 offered the "gg ul" in the chatbox as 1st call3r grabbed $15,664.50 in seventh place.

Clinging no longer

AlGiNho was tired about being backed into shortstack play and decided to shake things up with a shove of 670,074 chips. The chip leader, mayer1648, made the call from the hijack seat showing 9♥A♦ squaring off against the face cards Q♥K♣ of AlGiNho which sounded like a bunch of symbols from the periodic table but Gi unfortunately does not show up. Also not showing up were kings or queens on the 6♣ 6♥ J♠ A♣ 3♥ board knocking out AlGiNho in sixth place ($22,626.50) as I AmLegend11 offered a "gg" and "nh" on the way out.

No chop drama this time

During the Super Tuesday tournament where Brian "brianm15" England took home http://www.pokerstarsblog.com/team_pokerstars_blogs/2013/final-table-deal-no-thanks-144107.html $83K Team PokerStars Pro Johnny Lodden commented about England's one-sided heads-up deal that almost awarded him first place money without playing for it. Tonight, Brian would not be a part of the four-way deal that the players would start up after his elimination shown below:

mayer1648 would add to the chip lead after pocket eights 8♠8♦ safely downed England's treys 3♣3♦ on the 9♦ 5♥ 9♠ 4♠ K♣ board to claim $29,588.50 in fifth place.

As mentioned the four-way deal went pretty smoothly after the players agreed upon the ICM numbers shown below leaving $10,000.00 for the champ:

mayer1648 (Hungary): $78,811.29
I AmLegend11 (Mexico): $77,845.15
-AAAABJAAAA- (Denmark): $63,759.73
graebsch (Austria): $57,811.44

Let's get this over with

The players seemed like they were looking for a quick resolution to the remaining $10K as three hands after the chop an 11.2 million chip preflop hand broke out. With the blinds moving up to 150K/300K ante 30K mayer1648 would min-raise from the button as -AAAABJAAAA- made it 2.22 million from the small blind. With the popular pocket kings K♥K♠ mayer1648 would shove for 9.8 million as -AAAABJAAAA- made the call holding pocket nines 9♦9♠. The turn would open up a few more outs A♠ 8♦ T♣ 6♥ but the Q♠ on the river spelt F-O-U-R-T-H P-L-A-C-E for -AAAABJAAAA- ($63, 759.73).

The legend grows

A huge bounce back from bubbling the Sunday Warm-Up final table back in June I Am Legend11 was hunting for a title tonight. Just five minutes after the previous elimination graebsch would shove from the small blind for 4.4 million as I AmLegend11 calmly made the call from the big blind with Q♣A♦. The serenity was broken by a seven on the K♦7♠J♠ flop as graebsch's 5♣7♣ took the lead. However, after a blank 3♠ turn, the T♥ on the river would ship the 8.9 million chip pot to I AmLegend11 and send $57,811.44 to graebsch in third place.

nh gg and good night everyone

With the last pot, I AmLegend11 would take a 23.8 million to 10.9 million chip lead into heads-up play as the blinds held at 150K/300K ante 30K. The two could have dig in a little bit for a length battle but this one would be decided in six hands. Watch below as I AmLegend11 adds a Sunday Major title on the road to potential legendary status:

Preflop coin flip was the choice of battle as I AmLegend11 turned up pocket fours 4♦4♠ against mayer1648's Q♣A♥. Both players would hit the flop but I AmLegend11's set of fours 4♣ 9♣ A♠ 3♥ 3♠ would be victorious claiming tonight's Sunday Warm-Up title and $87,845.15!
