As the Stars Tweet: Bracelet hunting and Rafa Nadal

teampro-thumb.JPGWith the 2012 World Championship of Online Poker in the rearview mirror, the poker community has turned its collective attention to the 2012 World Series of Poker Europe. When it's all said and done, a total of seven bracelets will be awarded in Cannes, France, and Team PokerStars Pro Jason Mercier has already reached a final table.

"Feel very fortunate 2 be at the final table of the 5k€ plo at wsope. This is my 3rd deep run in this event. 8th in 08 and 12th last year..." Mercier tweeted. He then followed with: "... Hoping for a better result this time around. #braceletnumber3."

Unfortunately for Mercier, he was the first player eliminated.

"I'm first out. Almost laid down QQTT on 999T8 board. Pretty disappointed. Can't win them all. Gonna play 10k mix Max at 5 pm #ontothenextone."

While they're not grinding, some Team PokerStars Pros visiting France are making sure they have a good time. Vanessa Selbst, who finished 12th in the same event Mercier final tabled, even hopped behind the bar to serve drinks one evening.

"Bartender was taking too long for our drinks last night so I hopped behind the bar to make things happen!"

Eugene Katchalov isn't doing much partying in France, but he is working out. Evidently, not only is he one of the best poker players on the planet, he can also do 1,000 pushups.
"Just did 300 pushups during a 45min high intensity interval training beach workout. #EazyPeazy ...time for lunch short nap and 700 more!!"

After lunch and a short nap...

"1001 pushups (+1 for flavor) Done & Done! First 300 in 45min during morning beach workout and last 700 in 1 hour and 35 min a few hours later."

We're sweating profusely just looking at the photos.

Down in Panama City, Panama, Team PokerStars Pro Leo Fernandez was busy shipping the inaugural LAPT Panama Main Event. Fernandez earned $171,930 for the win, and Twitter love from fellow pro Andre Akkari: "Congratulations to @leofernandez13! Great job on Lapt Panama!!!!"

Fernandez thanked Akkari and his fans, "Gracia a todos x los saludos, estoy feliz!"

Whether they were in France, Panama, or any other country on Earth, all of the Team Pros were tweeting about the new PokerStars Rafa Nadal commercial.

Daniel Negreanu: "OMG! MUST WATCH Rafa Nadal "poker training" video! So much funnier than I expected it to be! Well done #doyouplatennis?"

Jonathan Duhamel: "Check this out, sooooo funny, Rafa Nadal trying some pretty good bluffs!!!!"

Chad Brown: "Watch @rafanadal learning how to bluff. Very funny."

Victor Ramdin: "Hey check out this hilarious video of @RafaelNadal learning how to bluff... very well done! #NadalPoker"

Liv Boeree: "Lol, this is pretty good - @RafaelNadal learning to bluff by pretending to be a golf receptionist."
