Eureka4 Prague: Closed registration, open seats

Registration has now closed for Day 1B of the Eureka Poker Tour event here in Prague and the numbers are just being tabulated in the EPT equivalent of Skynet. A full number will follow but tournament director Thomas Lamatsch said the total number of players in this event will be over 1,600. A lot of players managed to just squeeze in at the end as (very) late alternates including, former EPT winners Kevin Macphee and Martin Finger as well as Ana Marquez.

Zoltan Gal, winner of Eureka4 Vienna, has just been eliminated

Team PokerStars Pro Online Mickey Petersen is out, he pushed with K♠Q♠ but ran into Tomasz Koucalsk's A♣A♠. Georges Yazbeck, Alexander Lakhov, Aku Joentausta and Zoltan Gal have also been knocked out. Gal, who is leading the Eureka4 leaderboard put his last 8,000 in with ace-nine on a nine-high board but got beaten by a straight draw that hit on the turn. Team PokerStars Pros Marcin Horecki and George Danzer have also been knocked out (the latter playing just one hand) as has EPT Live commentator Marc Convey - the latter losing a big coinflip with queens against ace-king.
